It is. Interacting with other people is the whole point of an MMO.
For the millionth time, interacting with other people.

so you would vote no because you lack the fortitude to stand by what you believe and not use it, instead you come in here to argue against it and keep players choices limited who you never play with, never group with, and never guild with… just because you wouldnt be able to resist using it.
lol i see what it is now… youre a thin skinned gatekeeper. and the debuff is the consequence that you said doesnt exist. it helps limit toxicity. you just want to be able to leave a group because you dont like someone and not pay the price for learning to work with people you dont know.
Not sure what someone running RDF have to do with you? You can still run with guild.
Separate servers is the answer.
Do you actually hear yourself?? People are NOT interacting with others in the community. Not even close. LFG is not social. There is nothing social about it. You can sit in chat and spam “LF1M healer” and if nobody responds, you might as well be yelling at the sky. You aren’t interacting with anyone. And a response of “Druid heals inv” is hardly the pinnacle of being social. You don’t seem to know what being social actually IS.
You might as well be yapping about politics, then. More people will interact with you that way. Except you can get a silence for chatting in LFG.
Maybe Twitter is for you.
You aren’t wrong. And it’s true I probably have a strong bias because I have a guild of people I enjoy playing with and we coordinate with each other on discord to plan runs while we are at work and then play together when we get home.
If RDF existed, I probably wouldn’t be coordinating as much with guild mates on when to run heroics. They probably wouldn’t ask people to join them. Everyone in the guild would just log in whenever and queue up for their daily RDF and then come back for raid times.
So no RDF has made it so we are interacting with each other more on a daily basis rather than just on raid nights. The start of the expansion has just been that much better for me because RDF wasnt included.
So yeah, there is some bias in there, and yes it is a bit selfish, but at the end of the day, it made the most efficient way of playing communicating with your own community, and that has been a good thing in my eyes.
Hopefully the lack of RDF will encourage more people to find like minded people to play with on a more consistent basis rather than become a more “single player” focused game. And I will fully admit that the day my guild disbands is the day I unsubscribe.
thats when folks make the same mistake. my guild back in the day and my guild today, with rdf in play or not, will still always guild first. when rdf was in game we still always coordinated our runs through the guild, rdf was for times like have 12 players in guild on and wanting to run, instead of leaving 2 behind we put out 3 groups of 4 and used rdf to pop the remaining spots and off to the dungeons we went. it also allowed us to get out there and help other members of our faction get more runs through rdf by providing tanks, healers, and dps’ers. RDF for me an mine was never anything more than a useful tool that came into play AFTER guild business.
your guild has a coordinated heroics event?
Like my guild has a Nax raid with a set group. Sometimes I will see somebody asking if anybody wants to do a heroic.
I don’t see guilds advertising in LFG either “we do heroics!”
I wouldn’t want an automated finder to crowd out guild events. I’m skeptical that many guilds DO have a heroic event. When guildies do happen to run a heroic together, they are basically using gchat as another pool to pug from.
And there it is. You asked for a reason. I gave you a reason which you clearly couldn’t counter. Queue insult throwing.
You asked why I though RDF was toxic, I gave you a reason. Queue “deal with it.”
Youre the same toxic person LFG filters out.
Im sure this somehow sounded good in your head but it is such a stupid argument to make.
You want to run more dungeons? Well what if they made it to where you dont run any dungeons! That’ll solve it. Smh
we have a guild alliance so that when we cant fill from our ranks we give the other guild a heads up and they send us the team we need, we dont pug raids. and rdf has no effect on raiding, and its not supposed to be the primary tool for guilds, its a qol feature for plugging holes, which is what most people forget.
we dont have coordinated heroics “events”.
We’re just in discord and people will talk about doing the heroic or a specific heroic for pre-bis/achieve run. There aren’t sign ups or anything, its just like “hey, who wants to do the daily heroic today?”
yeah same here. To me that might as well be pugging. Like they’d just as soon scoop those spots out of ANY channel and if it’s a guildie hey great.
I think RDF would crowd out very little in the real world. Except in the most nebulous way possible ‘genuine social interaction community building’ whatever buzzwords
Do you hear yourself? I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume your server is a dumpster fire.
You either spend 2 hours trying to find (1) run of Dire Maul North at Level 57 -OR- You go play Retail (and dont do Dire Maul North anyway)
#ImSoPopularOnReddit
"Y R U DOING DM AT LEVEL 57 JUST GO 2 OUTLANDS LOL I AM SO SMART"
You’re interacting with others using RDF to run dungeons.
Fool me once.
Shame on you for not realizing that RDF requires you to interact with others.
Is this what you do for fun, making bait posts on the forums?
