Run M+ or quit wow

I would expect to get more than 1 piece of gear if I ran 6 hours of m+.

It’s a hit or miss for me. I enjoy it when I can do it, and I’m glad that people who aren’t able to make raid commitments have another end game option, but the way it was implemented isn’t fair.

Blizzard should nerf the power of dungeon loot in raids and nerf the power of raid loot in dungeons. Not by a lot, but by a decent amount so that there isn’t any spillover. Then add set bonuses, bam, now raiders wouldn’t feel obligated to run m+ and vice versa.

They didn’t try to balance the loot systems, they just nerfed the crap out of the loot received which did absolutely nothing to fix the issue.

Luckily, there are plenty of people here giving more helpful tips than “just quit.”

its heroic try hard raiders who spam mythic+ to get mythic gear they didn’t earn that have the biggest mouths. they insult people like me for being noobs and people like you for being no lifers. as if only they are at the sweet spot in wow . raiders have been treated like trash for expansions at this point. and blizz bends over backwards for mythic+ers. that’s why theirs so much backlash. their gravy train is not as lucrative as it once was so now they’re all threatening to unsub.

i’ve never had a ce raider been rude to me even once on the forums if i didn’t insult them first. but i’m constantly insulted by mythic+ players about being terrible because i don’t do +15s.

What other tips? I’d like to hear them too. I’d love to be able to raid log again without falling massively behind my other guildies. Do tell

It’s an interesting topic.

Mythic+ is the best early way to gear up to 210 levels. It’s the most accessible as well.

It’s also the easiest source of 226 gear in the game.

BUT, it’s also the slowest and most difficult to fully deck out in 226 gear.

You are hard locked to 1 single 226 item per week. And it cannot be traded. And it pulls from a massive loot table which makes targeting gear difficult.

Raiding and PvP can provide multiple 226 per week in addition to the weekly vault. Raid gear can be traded and funneled as catchup while PvP has an increasing cap and vendor to target.

Well I suggest you more accurately set your expectations.

You feel its inaccurate to get 2 pieces of gear from about 12ish m+ runs?

Because I get that atm.

I can barely get anything in Heorics, hate to see Mythic if I ever dare to do it.

I don’t know my DH is only ilvl 171 but I haven’t raided or even do m+. I do however play the AH so have gold to buy stuff on AH. Don’t play to play much on the DH. I would say just try to play the AH to boost your ilvl and then do some BG for welfare gear and then m+ .

The biggest problem was that the raid and M+ opened the same week, creating a massive crunch.

They should have had 2-3 weeks of M+ gearing and then released the raid in January. This also would have prevented raid teams from having to raid over the holidays like they’re doing.

If you did 12 m+ runs in 6 hours you are significantly better at the game than I am. We can toss hyperbole around but playing a game for 6 hours, including a raid, got you more than a couple pieces of gear youd be decked in a week with no reason to play. They very clearly and purposefully aligned gearing to be something not completed in a week. That is a good thing.

Run pug mythic groups to get gear. That will guarantee a piece of gear next week. PvP gear is super easy to get and is 184il so those pieces you’re having a hard time replacing could be replaced with those. That’s what I did. I have also gotten 184+ gear from doing covenant quests.

Not sure what youre crying about. Raiding has always rewarded the best loot in the game, bar none.

Just scroll up. Not so much on on tips on things to do, but tips on explaining how to maximize play time, or reminding me that as others gear faster, more loot will get traded. Things like that. I personally am here looking for a conversation, rather than just to say goodbye.

Dungeons have a timer of around 30 minutes. For arguments sake, lets say 11 instead.

11 dungeon runs in 6 hours of game time is not hyperbole.

If 1 piece drops per m+, 5 people, 11 runs would mean on average everyone gets 2.

Ok. So you are trying to do progression raiding on a 8 hour a week schedule. This is and always has been extremely difficult to do.

How much of that 8 hours do you actually raid and how much is dedicated to prep work (mats gathering, flasks, feasts, etc)?

How much time do your raid teammates put in?

its not crying to mention that mythic+ers get mythic raid level loot they didn’t earn. anything beyond a +15 is epeening. you can clear a +15 a week which is like heroic raid level difficulty and get loot as good as mythic raid level loot. that’s broken.
