Yes, another thread complaining about the lack of loot. I downed 7 normal raid bosses and 1 heroic raid boss this week and received a pair of pants (that I can’t use since my pants are my legendary.) So that’s 6 hours of playing wow for basically no loot. I couldn’t even trade it away since it’s a higher IL than my legendary.
At this rate, I will be 178 IL forever. I have about 6 hours available to play during the week (which is spent in raid). I usually also have a couple of hours on the weekends available, but that’s consumed with wow chores (Torghast, renowned, covenant quests, etc.)
So I really don’t have time to run M+ which seems to be how everyone is getting any loot. Even if I did have time, I HATE M+. But if I want to stay competitive and keep a spot in a raid group, I will somehow have to find a way to do it.
So I am being forced to decide between finding more time to play so that I can run M+ (which will cause RL problems, so not really an option right now), or quit raiding (or even worse, raid in LFR).
Can’t a guy just raid anymore?

Please, I have been raiding since WoLK, and almost always got a couple of pieces of loot per week. They are definitely stingier now than ever.

You did just get 2 pieces of loot a week and you played 1 day.

Okay, so I am over 10 IL lower than everyone else in the raid group, and the one thing I am doing differently is not running M+.

ok, so do content and get more gear. That is how it worked even in Wrath. You did not get an upgrade every heroic you did in Wrath and M+ didnt even exist. You have more options now than you did then.

Yah so run some M+.
You could even smash out the base mythics and get a big Ilevel upgrade. If you’re guildies are that far ahead, group with all leather guys and have them loot funnel.
If you want to gear fast, you put in the time. That’s how it works.

So, what are you after? Do you want the rewards removed from m+? Even if you got another piece or 2 in raid, you’re still gonna be miles behind everyone else.

Go queue for epic bgs and get 184 gear + conquest- its basically free gear

So that is the exact point of my OP. I used to just raid. And that kept me geared enough to keep raiding. I don’t have time to play more than the 8 hours a week I’m playing now. So I’m now being forced to run M+ or quit raiding.

Could always quest and RP

I agree it’s stupid those of us who like to raid but don’t like mythics can’t gear through the raid. Downed 8 normal bosses, zero loot.

If you are 178, run M0s not M+. 0s have a much higher drop rate and are easier than +s
Also, 0s get the extra loot chance on the last boss from the weekly…and the weekly will give you a heroic raid loot piece.

Why do you need loot if you are only playing 6 hrs a week? Your ilvl is even below Mythic 0 dungeons, go do those.

So that I can keep raiding. I will soon be the guy holding everyone back in raid because I don’t have time to run mythics.

But you killed those bosses, which means you get a piece from the weekly chest anyways.
Or go do LFR for easier upgrades. Or again, loot funnel base mythics.
Imagine having to put in time and effort to improve your character in an RPG. What are these mad lads thinking…

You sound like one of the PVP’ers refusing to PVE to get gear and then complaining about it.
You decide how you spend your game time, so it’s up to you how geared you want to be.

…so, what’s your solution? You want to remove a form of content that a large portion of the player base enjoys because you perceive it as unfair to yourself? Please explain.

So I am playing as much as I always have, but I’m no longer able to keep raiding. So yes, this is a me problem. I’m just here venting like everyone else. This is the only game I have been playing for the past 12 years because I love to raid. But I can’t do it anymore. So I’m sad, so sue me.

I received a belt from my weekly - its far higher than any other piece I have AND ITS MY LEGGO slot.
I think they do this sh*t on purpose.

I just want things to be the way they used to be. If I wanted to raid, I raided. The loot from the raid was enough to keep me raiding.
