Run M+ or quit wow

yes it is. If you are completing that many timed M+ runs your group clearly is not worried about gear at all.

And by your math and the OPs claims, that is exactly what happened. Also if youre completing those 30 minute times youre getting 2 drops per run, so that would be 22 pieces of loot.

You dont think 22 pieces of loot is a sufficient reward for a single days worth of gameplay?

edit: its actually 27 pieces of loot because all 5 people get a chest item assuming its a static group. That number goes up every single time someone else goes.

Eh, time gating a raid release while having mythic+ and PvP open for gearing seems pretty stupid.

how many more people are going to say that ANY amount of gameplay is just “wow chores”? FFS. By your seeming definition of chores, you raiding IS A CHORE. Are you even playing a game? Or are you just making yourself run through chores.

Why do they need to be timed runs?

If you are constantly failing the timer, thats a -you- issue, anyways.

That makes your argument even worse. That makes m+ hands down a ton easier to get loot from.

I think you are misreading the argument.

People are saying that m+ offers too much loot in comparison to raiding.

(or raiding…not enough)

Are you satisfied with Blizzards fix in Shadowlands? Now mythic players can only get gear thats below heroic outside of the vault, will heroic become more popular?

While helpful tips in general, we are talking about raid logging. All of those things are the complete opposite.

We had a 25 man group through normal and part of heroic. We got 5ish drops per boss. Thats 75 items (50 for the 10 bosses of a clear and 25 from chests, of which you get 3 choices). 75 drops per raid is pretty damn reasonable. even if it was 3 per, its still 55 pieces of loot for a full clear.

There just aren’t many tips for getting enough loot to raid log outside of “be rich and buy off AH”

Raiding isn’t a chore, it’s what I enjoy. If I wanted to do something on the clock (like M+) I could just go back to work.

oh sorry, for some reason I read “gearing” not “logging”

So in your raid scenario everyone gets 3 pieces on average.

In your m+ scenario everyone gets 4 pieces on average.

Thank you for agreeing that its m+ gives more loot under similar time constraints. 33% more loot by your own numbers. Now factor in how much easier m+ is, its flexibility. How it can be run indefinitely.

Which has now been nerfed to 3.75.

And if you had split the raid until 5-man teams and just run M+ dungeons instead, you would have received far more gear, of superior quality.

ok so M+ is mildly more efficient. So what? I never made the claim raiding was better, I was showing loot drops are fine.

Clearing 10+s is much harder than normal raiding. The OP was making the claim they cant get geared doing just raiding, which is outright false, if misguided in that its their choice to skip an entire chunk of content.

I literally go on to say even if its 3 pieces per its still 55 pieces of loot a week.

until they remove the welfare box entirely and mythic+ loot is capped below heroics with no ability to get better unless they put in the time to raid, no. it has no lockouts. it should be significantly worse even than heroic raiding honestly. i’d remove the box and require hitting the timer to get loot at all and then i’d also make it so you are locked out of doing a dungeon again per key level. once and then done. then it would be fair.

That’s definitely a LOT more loot for 5 people versus what dropped for the 15 people in our raid group in the same amount of time, that’s for sure.

So? Who said anything about 10’s? You can fail to time a +7 key and get Normal Raid-quality loot.

In infinite quantities.

For less time.

With less difficulty.

Why are you comparing 10s?

7s drop the the same ilvl at end of dungeon vs normal raiding.

Mythic +2 gives the same weekly reward as normal dungeon raiding. M+2 even gives the same weekly vault reward as normal raiding gives for its weekly reward.

Compare things more similar.

Sure, scaling may not be where it should be. I am not arguing that raiding has more or better loot, I am saying loot is available from multiple avenues and the OP is choosing to limit what content they can do. I havent even brought up PVP which I do not participate in at all. I have no empathy for not wanting to do anything besides log, raid, log out.

That’s because he’s dismissing the fact that they cut the raid drops in half this week.
