Yeah but the wow community is not that intelligent to use math and figure this out, half of them are neck beard looser with no job/high school degree living in there parents basement.
Weird way to say people over 40 you cant have a real conversation without being scared of scary internet people.
In all seriousness im not in the slightest worried. We have a healthy NA population on Thalnos confirmed already and given how the internet works you can safely assume there will be easily double that.
Let’s assume 4000 BR play on launch. Can we also assume a conservative drop off rate of 50% the first month? Then the server will have 2k BR. Seems like less of a problem for English players to play on that server. I’d expect honestly 100k US English speakers to populate each of the 3 EST PvP servers. 4K BR doesn’t sound like much.
Language barriers are frustrating. I’ve got no problems with anyone, but if I try to talk to someone statistically it’s better that we understand each other.
Most of the reason why they haven’t made any official brazillian/latino servers is because there won’t be enough players from these places in a single server some time after launch. Population would go down eventually and these official servers would die with it
But, IF classic does become more popular as time goes on, Im pretty sure Blizzard will release new servers… for those who feel like waiting for better options
Facts:
-Faerlina is the Streamer Server.
-Significant numbers of BR/Latin have chosen Thalnos as their server.
-Our raid times of 8-12 EST would mean PST players on a Pacific Server would need to be finished with work/school obligations before 5PM PST.
-The unofficial discords for Herod have more users than the Thalnos discords. Herod has roughly 800, and the two Thalnos discords I am in have around 300.
-Today on Herod, we had to wait in a queue of almost 10,000 to create our characters.
-We created our characters at 6PM EST on a weekday, and log-in queues persisted for at least an hour.
-The realmlist indicated that Herod was the only server categorized as “High” population. Thalnos/Faerlina were both “Medium.”
-Using data from Retail, Brazilians compose less than 1/20th of the total NA Population. (Source = wowwiki.fandom DOT com/wiki/WoW_population_by_country)
-The coalition of Brazilian guilds has indicated they are 1) aware of their reputation among American player communities and 2) they intend to keep world chat in English.
-Herod will be massively horde dominated, upwards of 65% horde.
If the choices are Streamers, Brazilians or People Like You I guess I’ll have to go with the Streamers as the least offensive since I only know English.
1.- Not enough people to fill a server
2.- Brazilians and spanish speakers cant communicate in any other lenguage than english
3.- Maybe Blizzard want us to behave in classic just like people behave in vanilla, leaving aside racism and xenophobia to play together.
I can back up that claim. A group of former players who are organizing on facebook, just dumped plans on leveling on Thalnos. They just switched to another server.
