me as a dps I just follow the tank very close behind. Once they stop then I wait a sec of two and pop CD to dps mobs. I don’t question their route. Route doesn’t matter much unless you are going for top 0.01%. You might pull some extra and that’s fine for most keys we do. I CC when I can and try to avoid steping on bad stuff but sometimes a tank does pull mobs in a weird way where there are DoT on the ground all over the mob…

Unless they’re bleeding edge ilvl and io, or forming their own group, DPS can’t just join another group instantly and everyone knows that.

Ah, I am the blessed aug evoker or was that many exclusively waited for. Probably less so now.
The less fortunate specs won’t really see any playtime regardless.
Is this evaluation based on the mythic + dungeons this week? Was it based on a certain M+ dungeon that you ran where there was a lot of criticism being typed out?
I ask only because as of writing I show you’ve done 3 M+ dungeons this season. And I can definitely relate to not timing a key and the pug getting frustrated and typing out a throwaway one-liner than can cause frustration after you tried to work your tail off to make the timer.

Actually, he’s only kind of right. I do see the same kind of complaints all over the internet though.
So it’s not just us.
But yeah, we really don’t represent the whole player base or close to it here on the forums.
It’s widely known that only a small marginal fraction of the playerbase use the forums and the large majority of those who do only come here to complain. The forums and GD consensus are a terrible metric to use. You never hear about M+ groups that go well because there’s no reason for them to come here and vent.

Good dps are important too. The difference between them and bad ones are so night and day it’s wild. I’ve done less healing in 22-23s than in 15s sometimes lol

As a healer, i dont disagree. Just remember yall were doing the same thing to us a few years ago. It always flips between who is to blame for simple mistakes, and all it really comes down to is; dont play fury or ret when you queue up as tank, or im gonna call you names. Every class has to manage positioning and cooldowns, so dont pretend thats tank exclusive, and warrior tanks in particular have a pretty easy time of tapping ignore pain and moving on when healer is keeping up. Regardless, just keep in mind that dps is the easiest role and they dont play tanks or healers for a reason, chin up king if youre long term tanking and still do it, youre better than they are

The problem with tanks who take their time, and are not confident enough to pull more than 1 group at a time, is it destroys the DPS’ ability to do their job.
Much of the AOE toolkit blizzard has given us requires that we are attacking more than 3-4 mobs at a time in order to get the most out of the AOE abilities. We have cooldowns for a reason, and its unreasonable to be using them on a small pack of 2-3 enemies.
When tanks are timid, don’t know how to properly use their cooldowns, are unfamiliar with the m+ layouts, and go very slow (healer needs to have 100% mana before the next pull, stuff like that), it understandably frustrates your DPS and even healers.
If you are a tank and you fit the description above, maybe m+ isnt for you. Maybe those types of tanks should stick to a non-timed m0 environment or delves. If you want to successfully make it in m+, you need to get better as a tank. Pulling 2-3 groups even in week 1 m+ is VERY doable, and the better tanks are pulling even more, which gives the dps a huge amount of mobs to aoe down, and everything is better (dungeon is faster when more mobs are dying quicker).
This is the truth. Do toxic people play this game? 1000%. Do i encounter them in M+? Absolutely. Is it common? Hell no, maybe 1/20 runs do i end up with someone whos blatantly toxic. I find bad players all the time, and im no god so i usually just hit 15s and dont go much higher unless its a guild group, but i find more toxicity in leveling dungeons in a single week than i do in M+ over the course of a month, easily

Ive done every mage tower, hit elite on multiple classes , ive raided world top ten and yes ive healed in mythics
Don’t quote epeen to me. I was there when the term was coined and tanking as it is currently is the most mindless role for a mile. The HARDEST tanking challenges in recent wow history are playing Simon says in df and kiting the boss in CoT who screams " its kiting time" before you have to kite him.
Oh yes because your mage rotation and dodging mechanics is so much harder than a tank rotation, dodging mechanics, making sure you dont position people to pick up extra packs, and managing your defensives. You press defensives when you mess up or a mechanic calls for it, tanks press them on rotation constantly if they dont want their healer to hate them, and they do it while weaving their actual damage rotation in. Sure its a simpler rotation but tanks have a much larger cognitive load than dps, especially ranged.
E: not to mention your guild hasnt even been top 20 on stormrage since HFC, and your only top 10 is heroic mannoroth swing your tiny thing around somewhere else you poser

Lol paying people to carry you through raids does not make you a good player, your mage and dh both are new to their “good” guilds and if you think ANYONE believes you were part of RWF when most raids youve got mythic achievements 4 months later with only a few bosses done on normal or heroic, youre delusional. “Well pro player number 3 carried me in 2s so clearly im one of the best” lmfaoooo grow up
