[RP-WPvP] EVENT: Assault on the Alliance heathens!

Maybe this was a dream I had but RP-PVP used to be between guilds with clearly defined rules of engagement.

I believe that they took that specific line out, but it’s been a minute. That world quest should’ve been scrapped but hey I can drop my in-game morality for in-game shinies any day.

Most days.

sounds fake do you have a source on that

God I hope so. It was awful.

don’t forget that they deliberately put attackable injured civilians in the room, so the line somehow manages to get even worse in that context

side note, i’m not trying to AoE them but my ranges are too high

I’ll just say it because I don’t think any of them play anymore. It was Q Up I don’t remember much other then they’d all hide up top when any degree of resistance would form. That is what I remember being mad about. If they were doing other things I am unaware.

I don’t know what to tell you really. The forums are a pretty tiny minority of the player base. You can post but it is like shouting in the wind, none of the people engaging in it know or care. It is not something I am personally into but it does appear that city raids are a thing Blizzard sees no issue with. This is the game as intended it seems.

it’s very possible it’s 3 separate groups we’re talking about. There were a lot of disruptive PvPers coming to Silvermoon around that time period, and hoo boy it was annoying.

Which, honestly, is a major reason - beyond what I’ve said already - why I wouldn’t want people in Stormwind to have to deal with it either.

there may be a common, linking factor between the people posting on the forums and the PvPbros posting on the forums for clout

i think it might have to do with the forums

Why should I care about what you have to say if you’re going to start hurling insults at anyone who dares goes within the confines of the game to attack a capital city? If it was against the rules they would have gotten banned or squelched. It’s been over a week now I’m not even shocked that people are still whinging about it.

The war council is fully aware of what goes on in forums.

back in my day, we used to remove disruptive PvPers from capital cities by force, instead of complaining that they shouldn’t be there in the first place

Back in my day folks didn’t get a group of 40+ just to raid a city. :woman_shrugging: We also didn’t try to guise a PvP raid as an RP-PvP event. Bonus points we didn’t phase in off-servers folks at all.

We’ve all got stories dude.

if it bothers you that much that people exist within the same game world, go somewhere else for a bit. garrisons are good for alliance, as much of a meme as they are. or form a group to remove the intruders. or just… ignore them and go about your day. ez

these guys weren’t just obnoxious PvPers, they were also 4channer kiddies that loved/love racial slurs and swastikas. some of them are (or were, recently) still around.

There was a lot of them. I liked the city raids, joining the defense and fighting sometime it is a lot of fun. Glitching and stuff was the crap I hated. It was somewhat cool ICly too because as a Blood Knight we must defend the homeland! I am pretty okay with city fighting even though my preference was always instanced PvP.

In the case of the off server guys awhile back, they don’t care. The intention was clearly to make WRA mad. I don’t the Raven, or the others seem to have malicious intentions in the recent threads.

I kinda remember them being chuds, I wasn’t sure if it was them.

Well then they can help make it less obnoxious by banning the spamming of banners and toys and only leave it to the guild/raid representatives to place a single banner.

Like it’s not hard to not be obnoxious.

If it’s RP-PvP, how you gonna tell me that someone is carrying around a pocket fel machine that everyone is ok with them planting?

that gamer feel when you’re trying to RP around a misfortune of PvPbros and ignore them while they visually clog up your screen, spam the chat log with emotes and /yells, and generally and genuinely be nuisances

there’s effectively no difference between opposite faction PvPers and same faction griefers when you’re bluewalled. use listener, cue it up to party chat and wait for them to get bored. this is hardly a situation unique to PvPers. im sympathetic to getting griefed but cmon. you’re feeding them

i understood this sentence until the end because of this bizarre new PvP lingo i’ve never heard of
