A few of us would roll up some naked gnomes, run to IF and dance on the bridge. I still have my level 1 or 2 gnome on Argent Dawn. Sparkle was her name. I forgot what I named the guild that housed the other dancing miscreants.
Good times!

Don’t give up folks.
Let’s keep bumping this without being discouraged by Blizz’s silence.
We don’t want them to say at the end of it all that we really weren’t interested due to losing the passion on the forums.
…Besides, it’s exactly what they WANT us to do!
/e adjusts his tin foil hat.
It’s happening because this has to be the easiest thing to do by tossing RP ===>PvP. If they were to brainfart this decision, they will be scrambling to add it soon after. Too easy to call a PvP server RP much like a PvE server that is labeled as RP.
Found this goof below and found it humorous.
been out of the loop, basically gave up on Classic WoW because me and my friends won’t be able to “come back home” since there’s no RP PvP server
did the ActiBlizz executives/decision makers finally see the light and allow there to be an RPPvP server at launch? or at least convert the RPPvE server to RPPvP instead? (since surveys show there is x3 more interest in RPPvP compared to RPPvE)
or is there just no RPPvP server as of now? in which case, why waste months of life… sad
will be waiting for all vanilla server types to exist in classic wow, hopefully
It is why this thread exists, Rivenson. We are all advocating for at least one server for us to call home.
So far, we have not heard a definitive answer, so we push on.
Here’s one huge, massive difference: War Campaigns. On Venture Co there was often something in the offing. Another officer and I in our guild, and some counterparts on Horde side, we ran a year-long campaign where every engagement had an objective for each side, and where the story went next was dependent entirely on who met their objectives and won that battle. We lost our home base at the very beginning and the Horde managed to push us down from Stromgarde into the Wetlands, over the ocean and all the way across Northrend until we took refuge in Howling Fjord and from there managed to regroup and win our way back across various battles until we reclaimed Stromgarde, our home, from the Horde who had been occupying it in that time. And in between the fights, we had a ton of RP surrounding what was happening at each location, forum threads and in-game rp several nights a week, based in whatever location we were after that fight. We were all deeply invested in the story and in the fighting. Our Horde counterparts had their own side of the story and did the same. The campaign, over the entire course of it, involved a score of guilds or more, and if I had to estimate how many people total had been to at least one of the skirmishes or been involved in at least one rp involved with it? I would have to say hundreds of people in total. I don’t have records of all the fights but I know in a few there were multiple raid groups on both sides.
And on a smaller scale, we frequently did raids with a purpose. For us, it was usually an ale raid. We set out to torch or steal their supplies, with the primary objective being to go steal their alcohol. We’d ping the local defense a few times as warning and then go in, fight whoever was there, and take screenshots dancing next to their tavern’s ale stockpile, which was us claiming it and in character making off with it for our own use. Sometimes if we could get an opposing guild involved ahead of time there would be a different objective, like we’d walk a “trade caravan” from A to B and they would attack us or vice versa, and then what happened ICly to the objective depended on who won the fight.
And in the tavern I ran, when the soldiers sat around discussing their glorious fights, they had real fights to brag about, not things written as backstory.
THAT is RP-PVP. That is something you won’t find on any of the other server types.
Day 35
My prayers to Elune continue. We still haven’t given up hope, at least not all of us. There seems to be less people at the meeting now. Which is understandable given the lack of communication from the Overlords. Now is the time to not lose hope though. Now is the final push. If we give up now then it was all for naught.
Stand strong, stand tall, and we will have our home.
Blizz, don’t be Frank. Let’s make this happen!
If I were them, I’d check this thread every day just to see what Pago posted, haha.
Let’s get this to 2k today!
What do we want? RP-PVP Server!
When do we want it? Listed 8/13!
Or even better…
What do we want? Literally any kind of acknowledgement from Devs!
When do want it? When haven’t we?!
The Classic Forums are probably going to simmer down for a while, perhaps spike a bit with the last stress test, then again with the name reserve, but between then its probably not going to be very active.
Let us continue to show our presence here!
RP-PVP Realm Please!!!
/fist BUMP
I will pick a pvp server if there’s no rp pvp server… it’s sad because i enjoy both.
Many of my best memories also come from an RP-PVP server. They should have them, and you should have to click a box when you create your first character saying that you understand this is a PVP server and PVP encounters can and WILL happen whenever you log on.
RP-PvP please!! I don’t think i personally will be able to enjoy WoW like before anymore if we don’t get a RP-PvP realm ):
WTB RPPVP servers for all regions.
Just paying a visit to the most important topic on Classic Discussion.
Lets get that blue post!!!
Blue,
My little Gnome friend has all his consumables and is ready to get out there in the world of RPPvP. He says he’s okay but he’s really not. He awaits that call confirming there will be a RPPvP server. He doesn’t have much time.
Make that Wish a reality and announce his dream of a RPPvP server. Do the right thing. He doesn’t have much time. You can see it doesn’t look good right now…
I’ll throw my support behind RP-PvP realms. Come on blue response!
