I really do not see the issue of taking one planned rp server and turning it into a rp-pvp I mean really if it flops it flops no one suffers exept the people who wanted it and by the sounds of it its worth trying

I don’t see an issue with 1 RP and 1 RPPVP at launch, adding more as needed for each. :man_shrugging:

No, they said there would be RP servers but not rppvp ones at launch. What I am saying is there should be one of each and let them expand as needed.

Being a player since a couple of months after launch, when RPPVP realms were offered, I leapt towards it. The element of danger was ever present, and added so much excitement to the experience of playing, that the reality is, it is not the same being on a RP server, playing in a uniformed guild that is meant for PVP. I speak for the entire guild of 13+ years, when I say that all of us that will be playing Classic, desire greatly to have our experience as close to the one we had in the original game. Forcing the community to designate one pvp server as an unofficial rp-pvp server is a horrible idea. That server will just be the unofficial place for trolls to gather and harass others who don’t have the same play style as them.

so just somethin I noticed there are 3 full and 3 high population rp servers running right now on retail so if they know a good deal of people playing on those servers want a rp-pvp server then I just don’t understand the logic in saying no

RPing joy that blizzard confirmed they will start with 1 RP and 1 RPPVP, each to expand to additional servers when need be.

It seems like the beta and stress test are extremely popular. Hopefully this reflects well on the population of classic in general and Blizzard will see how badly we need an RP-PVP server at launch.

Bump for visibility. If the stress test has shown anything, its that there are a lot more people willing to play than Blizzard is prepared for. RP-PVP or riot

A ton of people who know of classic but do not frequent the forums will be just as shocked at this. Imagine them on August 13th, having paid for a sub to be able to reserve names, but not be able to find the RPPVP server(s) in the list of server choices.

I wouldn’t be surprised if launch day comes and there isn’t an RP-PVP server to choose, we will see threads made along the lines of:
“No RP-PVP server?”
“Where is the RP-PVP server”
“Not seeing an RP-PVP server, glitch?”
“Why no RP-PVP”
“No RP-PVP server REEEEEEE”

And other various threads like that. Blizzard, you have the power to prevent this. At least 1 RP-PVP server at launch please!
