I made a wrong turn getting myself into a pretty densely populated area and got killed. Rezzed a couple times but just kept insta aggroing some elite mobs, fighting those mobs would get me aggroing other mobs so I died twice more. Spirit rezzed hearthed then logged off lol.
I’ll try again. Maybe with a character that has more survivability lol. Probably be more careful where I go as well.
I went from having nothing to do pre 8.2 to having almost too much to do, now. Friday, I was waiting for an important phone call and tried to knock out Naz area stuff and ran into the brick wall that is the Starfish daily. Almost two hours later and my duo partner and I FINALLY completed it, very frustrating.
The follower experience being tied to quests that you have to take all over the map (versus the hub city) really puts a screeching halt to leveling the little aqua gobbo – after a couple of days, I’m only 1200/3000 on that leveling quest. Including WQ’s into the leveling pool would be helpful.
Reputation seems to be glacially slow. Tuesday through Friday, doing just about everything in Naz that was available, then unlocking more stuff to do, rinsing and repeating, resulted in still being a few hundred south of Honored. I certainly hope more stuff unlocks at Honored, or the 12,000 grind to Revered is going to be very painful.
And that’s just Naz. I was a couple days late in taking Chachi to Mecha therefore the reputation grind there is in even worse shape. I did whatever I could find, and not much else unlocked and I’m struggling to get through the 6000 of Friendly, let alone the impending 12,000 of Honored. Ugh. Flying won’t come easy in 8.2.
In my previous post I had only done Nazjatar, but now that I’ve done Mechagon I want to give feedback again.
Mechagon feels alot more fun than Nazjatar to me personally. The dailies feel fluid and fun. Lots of crazy items to pick up. Nice unique catch up mechanics for trinkets and rings.
It’s no Timeless Isle, but overall I find it way more enjoyable compared to Nazjatar. It feels more full of life.
I saw one of the dailies were to find those 8 or so different items, logged out immediately. My friends list must agree. It was quite active on the first day of the patch. Now? I see some playing diablo 3 again instead of playing A BRAND NEW PATCH, one of the biggest ever!!! No. No. No. Sorry blizz, but this game is in the worst state it has ever been at this point. Who ever is pulling the strings on this game honestly needs to be examined and they need to make changes. Sadly, I am sure activision has a hand in a lot of this and the idea of a Bunjie-esque departure for blizzard will never be in the works. Imagine…a 15 year old game being the reason their quarterly reviews will be much higher than they ever should be at this point.
Seriously, play Gardnescapes or Homescapes istead. Plenty of free/easy to earn extras, no ads (unless you choose to watch them) and you won’t get stuck on the same level for MONTHS.
Busy work nothing fun just a bunch of chores same chores back to back the wq are lack luster nothing is keeping my attention. logging on alts is just a pain in the a$s doing the same sh*t you have already done because you cant do anything else but the line they set out for you. i have killed and gotten the heads of the same mob about 6x already you havent done anything to fix the game as a whole every class is nearly the same. having to wait 2 weeks for actuall gear updated is dumb. and flying is nothing its too late for flying already most people already have every class at 120 boring boring boring
Classic is the “less rewarding version of WoW,” as you put it?
"Keep the hard stuff in the raids and in Mythic difficulty where it belongs. So everything is supposed to be just piss easy once the raid comes out and we have months of another snoozefest?
Are we playing the same game? Because I can’t believe there are people out there playing BFA that would believe this nonsense in any capacity.
My goodness, opinions like this are why the game went to sh!t.
My impression is that you hate us having flying so much you come up with the most obnoxious content for us to wade through to get it each expansion and then sit back and watch us squirm.
I am in a full/high pop server and I can only see about 10 other people in Boralus.
Remember the days of Dalaran being lit as f?
I understand the purpose of layering, but in retail wow it feels like all layers are dead. Why not use less layers and maybe people will stop feeling like the game is empty? WOTLK was the peak of wow sub numbers and that expansion did not use layering. So why continue to layer with such a small amount of players left?
Can’t wait to fly! Should of been doing it 6 months ago. Next expansion if it’s 11 months for flying , after almost 16 years of playing this game, I’m done.
I thought I was playing to have fun not to have my time consumed with content that is not only boring but also made to waste your time. I thought WoW was trying to appeal to the casual gamer. It seems not. They somehow ruined PVP this XPAC and 8.2 just makes PVE a horrible experience. Been a fun run since 2005 for me. All things come to an end. Don’t need a game that feels like a second job.
Yeah I have heard the re-spawn on the starfish is bad. Not to mention the rares being killed so quickly it is hard to complete the ‘kill three rares quest’ without camping the spawn points. I have not run into issues with the Tortollen but I will check it out later to see.
These two points I would like to highlight, the intro quests to these zones or at least the mobs there felt very over-tuned. I am not leet geared yes but I figured at least I could manage a pack, nope.
It’s time to just make nearly everything account bound, kinda like Destiny does. Reputation, essences, currencies, neck level, even some gear, war campaign, intro quests, etc this stuff should all be account bound.
I really don’t understand why I have to “prove” myself doing the exact same tedious, easy thing over and over on multiple characters I want to play. It feels like archaic game design at this point. The only type of things I should have to “prove” myself again on another class is stuff like Mage Tower (which should be in BFA) that actually requires skill with said class/spec. Not oh… this rep you already grinded mindlessly for weeks do it all over again because you’re a warrior now and like that’s somehow totally different than your DH when it comes to mindlessly doing boring, easy dailies and world quests!
I just want to be able to play whatever character I feel like playing that moment/day/week without having to worry about grinding out the same stuff all over again or it being behind or how it will cause another character to to fall behind etc.
I get bored playing just 1 character for months on end, but I also hate playing characters that feel way behind because trying to keep up multiple characters is just absurdly tedious and will become worse now with essences. I would enjoy this game so much more if I could freely and easily switch between characters to whatever I feel like or whatever my mythic+ team/raid needs at the time, without losing progress I’ve already made on another character.
I’m okay with a grind, on one character. But the thought of doing this grind multiple times to try to keep multiple characters relevant, grind up all the essences and ranks and neck level unlocks etc on every alt… ugh. Rather just makes me want to quit. It’s especially egregious because blizz doesn’t even seem to really bother really trying to balance specs anymore, specs or even specific talents are allowed to remain completely over or underpowered for multiple raid tiers/seasons in a row. So if your main spec really sucks and you want to try something else, well dont even bother till next season/expansion cause it’ll be miserable trying to catch up.
Now that Classic is coming, it’s time to make some radical changes to retail and let those who want a more traditional wow experience to just go play classic instead.
