Rise of Azshara Experiences So Far

If you didn’t do Mechagon, you’ve missed 2 WQ and about 6 dailies since it released. Not much to do there after you do about 3 things other than afk at rare spawns for 30 mins at a time.

Mind you, that’s if your goal is rep. If you don’t really have a “goal” you can grind out materials to make little gadgets at the crafting station. I guess it could be counted as “content,” but it’s not really my speed.

I really don’t like it, and I have played a lot of BFA. The new zones look really nice but feel really bad. The game got boring fast, I play both factions and alliance is basically non existent anymore

Having a great time so far. Just still trying to get a pic with Fabious though :frowning:

This tends to happen when you gain strength or power on a character and have no control over whether or not the enemy matches your strength at every moment. You used to be able to move throughout a zone and gradually overpower the entire zone, chunks at a time.

Blizzard is ignoring this important piece of psychology in their flagship product.

Better yet, replace half the darn trash mobs with fish!

This is a definite problem with 8.2, if you’re not in warmode, quest mobs shouldn’t be faction-tagged. It’s just ridiculous trying to complete a quest to kill 20-odd mobs that you can’t get credit b/c a pack of the opposing faction is running around tagging them all.

Argus was better imo. There was more to do it seemed. The threat felt more dire as well.

What is sad is that they could change this within a week or so if they truly wanted to. There is enough data from months of raiding now and if that is still not enough data to help paint a picture…what are they doing? Honestly, when I talk to my friends about coming back their number one answer is that they cannot stand playing the class they have played for years because it is not the same class anymore. The depth is gone. I know they have already said this but they still are not giving any concrete ideas or thoughts about what looking at classes truly means now, at this moment. It feels like a multibillion dollar company would rather blow off something very important for a year or so till the next expansion which I think is criminal to the players.

I enjoyed it for about 2 hours. Then I realized that its the exact same timegating, recycled, half content that’s filled the rest of BFA. Almost no player feed back was taken and classes still feel like I bought them out of the box with everyone else. Stop making flashy stuff and listen to your consumers.

This patch made me unsub.

awful. nazjatar is as bad as argus in terms of frustration. What is the design philosophy behind requisiton quests not telling you where to go? So i can traverse this insanely annoying landscape for half an hour? And then the starfish quest?

Blizzard is a joke.

Its sad when F2P game have more content, meat, heart, than a game that pulls in millions a month.

Then kill the horde?

Honestly guys its a good content patch, you guys are doing a good job. But this is coming from a player who is making it a point NOT to travel by mount… ever… reason being the zone isnt an MMO zone… its like APEX legends or Fortnight…

Theres somethung every 10 feet, making it so that theres basically no exploration, just going from. One thing to another thing… thats all.

Imagine if you made the map twice as big, spread everything out, then we would EXPLORE. The zone would have the appropriate feeling. Of being sunken deep to a realm far beneath the waves, cut off from the rest of the world.

Take a leap and make mounts temporarily un useable so we explore the area. Imagine there being fewer enemies, but just about ALL of them more powerfull. So we feel vulnerable and trapped… cutoff and isolated. No ez portal to dazar’alor. why should we work with the alliance to combat the evil if we are literally casting everything Azshara throws at us aside.

It feels like Azmodan act 3 of diablo 3. Azshara is going to taunt us for days while we literally blow through her armies like a hot knife through butter. Shes going to be a laughable character who seriously underestimated her opponent. She will never drop the confident facade because thats how shes cast… she will never show panic… or handle anything herself. Doesnt matter how much we piss her off or cut her minions aside… she wont do anything.

As it is… azshara is shaping up to be an idiot, inviting 2 opponents and their legions into her realm where she has lain hiddin. We shove all her minions aside so quickly that we stand waiting in front of her palace gates… waiting for her to unlock the door… beacuse we can conquor the world… but we cant open a door.

The problem you guys are having is centered on 2 things. The reward for activities in your game are not worth the effort. There is no best in slot, no build goal, no refinement or real decisions. My character gets one nameless piece of gear to be replaced with another piece of gear with a different ilevel number attached to it. Once i get the piece i want from a dungeon… i play the same dungeon again for the same piece of gear in hopes i get it with a higher ilevel attached to it. Its all worthless.

Second. The story you have built around those items/systems is hollow… you want us to feel trapped beneath the waves but we have portals to dazzar alor in camp… a camp which is never under attack and we are never at risk of losing.

Your own desires of ease of access have shredded the rpg aspect from this mmorpg… leaving it nothing more than a hang out spot for people who wish you went back to making an rpg…

Tldr: the grind isnt worth it, there is no end goal, and your treating this game like its fortnight.

Either get up to the times with weekly or bi weekly content updates… or make wow an RPG again.

And release an easy access mobile game that syncs to your wow account. That way, you have a wow product for everybody.

Honestly… im hoping Nzoth wins, and we face a cataclysm level event the destroys freaking EVERYTHING. Resets level… skills… the works.

I hope portals break, lay lines shatter, and the world falls to chaos and we start the hell over. In a world overrun with old gods and horrors. I hope we lose our title of ‘champion’ and become powerless, and make the only access to those old expansions through a library, where you use a book and you experience “memories”. So those that care can access it…

Make wow an RPG again!

OR

Just like the end of Legion saw us all lose our legendaries to save the world, Azshara gets tired of laughing at us and swats us all down 60 levels before going back to the deep.

Love the flying with the anti-grav pack!!! The sounds, the take off, the look when flying…everything! Squeee!!! And I like all the kinds of quests things where you learn more about wow characters. And I like that dailies are back. I like the whole tinker construction thing. I like fishing on Mechadon. I like that people are starting to work together again like during the Timeless Isle time. I like how the story of each of the new factions is playing out. I like having a bodyguard again. Now if we can just have an epic fight between Sylvanas and Azshara where they take out each other…Nathaniel can be collateral damage

Negative feedback incoming.

Please never make a zone where we are forced to have a bodyguard again.

All they do is aggro mobs, stay in combat even when I vanish, then aggro the mobs onto me after it dies, and don’t even stealth with me sometimes,

Other than that the patch is okay, Nazjatar is kind of cool. I like the minigame WQ’s in it and the look of the zone.

We had this same issue on Argus. No sense that this was a major Legion military stronghold, just…a bunch of big guys randomly roaming around. A major military power should have more structure than roving packs of wild animals.

This so much. But other than that (and of course the subpar faction war story) I do like this patch.

I can’t say I’m enjoying it since the shards are not balanced. I can barely gather 25 ppl in a group, while the Horde is almost close to 60.
