except they have not added flying…
Well they have, as soon as you complete pathfinder part 2, which is this patch. Do I think flying should of been added earlier ? Yes, im just telling him gated content, gated flying behind rep isnt going away next expansion
Ah. Thank you.
Time to start experiencing all the problems I’m hearing about then?
Sadly, I haven’t done much. I’ve just done the same thing over and over on multiple alts because I can’t decide which alt I want to ‘main’ for this patch. I don’t have time to play like I did early this expansion so I can’t be my usual altoholic self.
Thing is, I CAN’T DECIDE WHO TO PLAY! All I can tell so far is that it will probably be a ranged class. So far, Nazjatar has been incredibly easier on my ranged alts than it has been on my melee alts. Heck, even my prot paladin left some fights at half health. Meanwhile, last night, I went though on my warlock and never was below 90% (and only had to heal my voidwalker once).
So, I’ll probably play my hunter or my warlock. But I want to try my DH and DK first just to be sure.
…I just want to go to Mechagon but I’m agonizing over alts for days. Still, the zone is neat so far. Just wish the game wasn’t a slideshow for some reason since the patch.
No they weren’t. They were introduced in TBC. There’s a reason everyone is waiting for Classic, and why everyone in the Beta is loving it. The sense of accomplishment throughout the entire gameplay experience. I played in classic, and I am not saying its perfect, or that its a better game. I am saying that the MMORPG gameplay experience is better, and I hope that Blizz sees this, now. Maybe 9.0 will fix things, but I doubt it.
i’m hyped for classic too but understand that in classic, once you get to max level and Best in slot gear, theres nothing else to do. Retail tried to change that in TBC by adding dailies. And if dailies were added in TBC, then how come TBC was the expansion with the most subs ever ? I guess dailies werent that bad huh… Dailies are part of the MMO gene now, its not going away
Loving Naz a lot - Benthic is very fun; new herb/ore is nice; lots to do.
Not liking Mechagon at all - old herbs, lack of good stuff to do (it seems) and overall really boring. Even went there for the “kill 25 alliance” with a party and found… 0 alliance. That made me worry that there are fewer peeps playing this game than I thought.
Its because of sharding
Great, good for them. Honestly that’s wonderful.
I wouldn’t say a ton of people though. We’ve been told by Blizzard the number of people that never even make it max level would astound us.
This content put in to do nothing but be a time sink is poor development in my opinion. Especially when the story is so bad.
So I took the last few months off and just came back for a month to check out the new patch.
Honestly speaking, early impression is pretty underwhelming. Zones are small and too densely packed with trash mobs. More of the same: More daily quests, more junk to collect to make other junk, more hoops to jump through. Time to fly yet? Nope, grind out a couple more reps for a couple of random uninteresting groups.
I want to like this expansion but so far from top to bottom it has been inferior to Legion in every way.
Again, what kind of other content do u want ? lol
What you dont like an hour of war campaign once every couple of weeks to make it seem like there is actually a story behind this dumpster fire?
I’m honestly very frustrated with this patch so far, it feels badly buggy and unfinished. I was really looking forward to it, but so far it’s been plagued with massive issues for me. Since it dropped, the game has been loading terribly, and my computer is far from old or bad. Furthermore, I’ve had consistent issues with sharding. Last night I got stuck in a different shard from all the rest of the party that I was doing an elite WQ with. Today my girlfriend had a different elite WQ phase her out mid fight across 3-4 characters.
I really wanted to like Nazjatar, and I did at first for the visual design, but it was massively unenjoyable to actually work on last night because the unstructured intro leads to a massive overload with no real guidance as you start. Plus, we’re about as geared as people who don’t currently do serious content get (~ilvl400 on our mains) and everything there felt like it was way too damaging to her. I’m a blood DK, so I wasn’t taking much damage, but we really shouldn’t have to feel like I have to take along one of my tanks for any character she wants to try the new zone on. Overall, it also feels way too densely packed with mobs, and WQs like the recycled broken shore water eles also feel badly tuned (that one took so long even though there was zero actual danger aside from the time we got stuck at the bottom of a pool…). Fixing the jumping jellies is a start, but it feels like there are way bigger issues that need to be addressed to make this patch as fun as I was hoping.
LOL 400 ilvl is not considered geared… or considered serious content lmfao, youre so disconnected from reality. 410 ilvl + is considered doing serious content
and if you need a tank to survive, then youre just not careful enough navigating in Nazjatar. I play a boomkin and had no issues what so ever surviving
I’ve been extremely negative with BfA so far, but I’m actually enjoying the content so far. It’s actually taking me TIME to do everything I want to do between Nazjatar and Mechagon. Some of the mobs out in the world are challenging and I always welcome that.
There’s so much to do and obtain and I’m somewhat overwhelmed, but that’s a good thing.
However, the bodyguard system in Nazjatar is annoying.

Maybe this will make 8.2 better for some. Nothing about the broken sharding though, sad times.
Y’all didnt fix anything. You just doubled down on the same old bad boring stuff like rep grinds etc. Chasing pearls aint content. PVP is still a hot pile of poo.
The classes are still boring because of pruning. The weaker specs didnt get fixed.
On the bright side though, the new areas are cool. Your art team is brilliant. Too bad the game side cant be the same.
Why are y’all so stubborn about reversing the direction and listening to the player base???
I have been boycotting BfA since it came out due to no flying. I just read here that with 8.2, if you have completed pathfinder that flying is now unlocked. It’s $30 now, so if I can get some confirmation I will go ahead on this one.
I have to admit tho, after reading the comments, I’m not expecting a whole lot.
The feedback is crystal clear from the last year and its been ignored. There are no real rewards for anything. Its just catch up gear. Mounts are ridiculously expensive and no real way to make gold. Plus the stupid rep grinds
