The lack of map support for quest objectives is a bit frustrating, as well as the eternal hunt and search for actual quest content in the new zones not showing up on the map as ‘Available quest’ is a bit counter-intuitive to the playstyle I’ve become used to, oh well, keep on keeping on. Although it seems that there are an awful lot of blue daily style quests rather than actual world quests available, again seems a bit of a throwback.
I love the anti-gravity/flame belcher Mechagon buff, truly very much appreciated. Although the zone is so small, it seems it would have been well suited to Nazjatar moreso than Mechagon.
Have to say, that that Nazjatar is a nightmare for a couple reasons. Now before the boohoo pvp happened comments, I accept the consequences of playing in warmode, the nightmare is the endless corpse running from being ambushed by huge swathes of horde players at the moment. TomTom says I’m 80 yards from my corpse, when in reality, due to the complex switch back style architecture or the zone I’m actually usually about 700 - 800 yards away from the massive switch back climb to where I am being camped. And/or the actual navigable terrain while performing my frequent run of shame. Odd too that Darkspear used to have such a heavy alliance population, but aside from Mezzamere, I hardly ever see an an alliance toon, whereas earlier mentioned the horde are currently owning the zone pretty hard, and good for them, on occasion when I do meet less than a posse of horde player characters the interaction is usually engaging and a lot fun, whether I come away with a few honor points or not.
tldr;
Mechagon - nice zone!
Nazjatar - pulling my hair out!
Well, I have unlocked both zones on my rogue here and my alliance UHDK.
My main issue, especially on my rogue is the high rate of mobs. They are everywhere. I was fighting just one thing, then outta nowhere 4 more pop up. I was like “WTH”, and hit vanish. Yall need to scale down on the mobs, like for real.
On my DK it wasn’t so bad. Mob HP is outrageous. Again, the need to be modified.
Art team…ALL need a raise. PERIOD.
Unfortunately my rogue neck is only at 48 so I’m grinding away to get to 50. Then I will see what happens as far as that goes.
I want to fly…but that seems to be a very long ways off.
you do understand that gated content behind rep or flying gated behind rep will not go away in next expansion right ? its their new philosophy, so either quit wow for good or accept it, its not going away (im not defending it, I actually hate it, but I know its not going away)
I don’t even care that the entrance weapon was made useless, but the fact they’re calling is a bug shows how hilariously little they care about being honest with the community.
Horde players can talk to Captain Krooz at the Port of Zandalar to return to Mechagon at any time. Alliance will have a similar Gnome NPC equivalent located in Boralus after they finish the quest line.
guess i was right
Both of these areas are throwaway content in WoW. It’s really a shame that the developers continue to release content that is so disconnected from the rest of the game. Once I get flight I will never go back to these areas again.
Nothing happens at 50. Just keep leveling it. Unlock first 3% stamina boost at 52. Unlock 2nd rank Crucible of Flame at 54. Unlock 2nd essence slot (minor only) at 55. So on and so forth.
Well…where to start? I was under the assumption that there would be changes made to the overall gameplay experience. Boy, was I misinformed. It’s the same grindy, rep-based, daily quest, boring mess. Granted, it’s in a beautiful zone, but I don’t play WOW for the aesthetics. And then, trying to get pathfinder. OMG! Look Blizz, if you want to give us flying, give us flying. I am perfectly happy without it. That being said, the disadvantage that you are put in, if you don’t have it, requires you to strive for it. I don’t want to feel like I HAVE to do something that I completely loath, in order to enjoy my game. And the daily quests. Now we have more. Lets have dailies for rep, dailies for our companion, dailies for proff, jeez. And, oh yeah, we aren’t going to tell you the difference, so when a quest says do three dailies, we arent going to tell you what kind of dailies, figure it out on your own. Gotcha!
You go to those zones as you level new characters. There is no need to go to these areas after you hit max level, unless you want something specific there.
