Yeah there are no shortage of bugs in this release. I am constantly finding myself playing around the game bugs. Mounted up bug.
Quests that bug out. I have found if you run far away from the quest completion NPC that wont allow you to hand it in, then run back it will suddenly appear.
I should file bug reports but whats the point… there are so many and if its anything like the previous patches they either wont fix them or claim they have fixed them but they still exist.
The quality of the game just isnt there and frankly Blizzard Quality is a slogan that has gone the way of the dodo bird.
Its just more Beta for Azeroth.
Lipstick on a pig really.

No but seriously it is? Is it really?
I like it. Some parts are good. I liked the zones. I appreciate there design (I wouldn’t say it’s pretty but I understand the inspirations. Loving the armor. Love the npcs and zone feels. It feels hard which is good for day 1 on patch. I don’t enjoy the candy crush 5 in a row stuff. I’m glad you toned it down to be less rng like. I’m enjoying finding the secret chests. I greatly appreciate the murloc bar! I hope to see many of the unshackled as future allies. Especially kelfin and murlocs : )
The patch ended up breaking my addons which are apparently no longer supported. So I have to either find a new one or take the time to do it myself. I realize its bound to happen, it just sucks as I was totally unprepared.
The art and music were great for both zones.
I really like Erazmin, he is by far one of my favorite npc’s in a very long time. It made me spend some time on my gnome characters who I haven’t played in a while. I really hope there is more of him and the mechagnomes to come.
Mechagon needs a great deal more to do. I finish the quests in half an hour then spend time tabbed out waiting for rares to respawn. And there should probably be a modifier to rare timers for the first month were the more people there are in a zone the less time it takes to respawn.
We really need more bag and quest log space. I tried to empty both before heading out and still ran into issues with quest log full. I get there are reasons not to but at this point its a constant handicap.
The sharding is really unbalanced on both sides, no matter what faction I played I was facing large groups of the opposing faction with no help. Later on during the pvp event the entire zone was completely devoid of any alliance. I know this because the horde were talking about it in general and no one was able to advance their quest, not a single kill in an hour. We even joked about logging onto alliance alts just to be a target dummy just to get some kind of progress.
You guys fixed the Jumping Jellies quest extremely fast and I think you guys deserve credit for that. Great job.
There are many bugs.
- Being hit by a melee attack for 100k. Though this didn’t seem to be a problem today so maybe its fixed.
- Rares that spawn in walls and can’t be looted. Such as the Amethyst Spireshell.
- Drawing at max distance (10) in zuldazar seems to be on the fritz since the patch as there are large sections that flicker black.
- The champions of azeroth quest in zuldazar had two quests phased on each other. I was able to get half way though then it phased and reset my completion but failed to respawn the ore meaning you couldn’t complete it (tried several times.)
I guess over all once I was done with the quest line it felt like its not more then half an hour of content at a time (minus waiting for rares to respawn.) I think not releasing the dungeon was a bad decision unless there is going to be an rp event for the opening and I really hope you don’t release both the raid and the dungeon on the same day.
The world quests are dull yet again. The only way to grind rep is to do world quests and I never am interested or challenged when doing them. Give me more world boss type world quests with good mechanics and I will enjoy them more.
Mechagon should have been released with the patch. If item level is your concern just lower the item level from drops until Season 2 hits. At least we could farm things and be challenged by the content.
I gotta say I also disagree. I’m tired of doing content just to do content, let me have the option of gearing through world content as well, I think the Benthic system is a step in the right direction.

Yup. A total misfire.
I feel as though they took the worst aspect of 8.1, being WQ, which weren’t actually too bad in retrospect and amplified it to the point where you need to do tons of quests a day in order to be mythic+/raid ready. Mana pearl is a currency that is ever more important - I would’ve had this same issue if titan residuum was thrown in your face in the same way and you had to grind it through WQ.
It’s a lot of work to get your character up to scratch, resulting in the most unfriendly alt state of WOW… ever?
I don’t play WOW for mindless quests. It’s a massive regression for the game… 8.2 is not it.

The new collectibles are exciting, but I don’t understand why the developers decided to go back to the long spawn timers for rares. I enjoyed the frenetic pace at which the rares on Argus and on the Warfronts could be killed. Now, it’s back to sitting there tabbed out waiting for something to spawn.

Luckily it doesn’t go up to heroic raid quality! Its 5ilvls lower. That being said, it’s very very time consuming and manapearl heavy to be able to upgrade a single piece that high. I think this is the best version of “catch up” gear that is both Raider achievement conscience but still casual catering.
The zones look great, but it’s just more frustrating WQ grinding, the end reward being the ability to fly around and grind some more. I’m not sure what the fix would be; maybe the game has just run its course. Fifteen years isn’t bad.
Overall story is still god-awful. Apparently “oops we forgot to guard the tidestone” is acceptable story logic now.
Aside from that, the new essence system is actually pretty fun.
I’ll second that… or maybe sixth or seventh at this point.
BfA’s content feels unnecessarily stretched out, and Patch 8.2 does not appear to be any different. I am rather disillusioned and cynical about WoW at this point, so this may sound rather harsh.
- Nazjatar, in all honesty, doesn’t look THAT good. Better than the Broken Shore and the non-Mac’Aree zones of Argus… but not all that impressive. The ship falling down just after arriving was kinda neat, but I’m not that interested in the aesthetics of the area.
- Haven’t gone to Mechagon, so I’ll reserve judgement… but at the same time, I’m not really interested.
- I am seeing some decidedly different (gameplay-wise) daily quests than what we’ve mostly dealt with in BfA… but it’s nothing more than a novelty. Better than mindless grinding that the game mostly feels like, but still not that interesting.
- Nazjatar’s storyline seems… meh. My own disillusionment probably not helping here, because I have minimal investment in the plot right now. Storytelling has never been Blizz’ strong suit, but this feels below par even for Blizz’ standards.
- The War Campaign quest to free Baine was neat, I’ll grant it that much. I do think the ending cinematic was actually good. I still think it’s nonsensical that the best storyline in the game right now (Saurfang’s) is mostly relegated to out-of-game cinematics.
- Similarly, I think the quest for the Tauren Heritage Armor was good. REALLY liked the heavy fog effect when I returned to Mulgore. Disappointingly brief, sadly. Not quite sure what to make of the totem (back piece, which still looks good) hiding back-sheathed weapons and shields however.
- The new Heart Forge and Essence system? Meh, I got a customizable extra button to press.
But as I’m sure MANY have already stated, the core problem with BfA still remains.
The game is NOT fun to play.
The classes are dull, and gear is doing nothing to prop up the gameplay. WoW has been so reliant on the latter for several expansions now that it was an disaster waiting to happen once the gear benefits failed to support the lackluster gameplay.
The Azerite System was that failure, especially when combined with the GCD changes… and now all the issues with the classes are laid bare.

Yes, it is, it really is! Considering the last time I logged in was April it makes it even more laughable.
I think the biggest issue I have with 8.2… and kinda about all of BFA really… is that I feel like I’m still playing legion… just in a new area.
I liked when expansions were different’ from each other.
The armor tmog is uninspiring. There is a better mail naga set from mythic antorus than the one in mythic Eternal Palace… like wtf…
This entire expansion has felt like an extension of legion… it’s just getting boring.

8.1 was immensely alt friendly. you didn’t have to run around doing WQ for hours in order to get gear, and then have to run around for even longer to upgrade said gear. 8.2 is the most unfriendly the game has been for alts in a long while.

I don’t like the wall of time gate you’ve included in the war campaign story. Get to a point where the only thing stopping us from continuing is time, 8 days to be precise, because the last step requires gaining 2400 more rep with followers, and we’re limited to 300 rep per day. Absolutely no way around it.
Please come up with better ways to tell your story than to make us plod along at baby steps for X days straight just so it feels like we’re on a long story.

I play alts, so have just done the basic intro on 6 toons. I enjoyed the quests. I found most of it to be not challenging - referring mainly to the instance part. Of course just getting two necklace levels for that amount of work was probably about right even if I didn’t die or get close to dying.
That was an absolutely useless comment. Your comment lacks creativity, energy, and intelligence.
I don’t know what I was expecting specifically… but I know I was quite excited to jump back in WoW in 8.2 and feel the love for the game I’ve always felt before.
… I don’t feel that love anymore.
I miss working towards gear that felt AND looked amazing and I would be proud to wear… instead I’ve been xmogging for years the same stuff… maybe if I could edit the colors it would be a lot better… but I’m just tired of it.
BUT… that being said… the zones sure do look good! Great job with that!
