I don’t see how specific conduits getting tuning passes and tuning changes is a big 70-90% “Ripcord essentially pulled” thing.

Nor is the “Ripcord pulling” even about Conduits since they are Covenant agnostic.

“less happy” =/= “Doom and gloom”.

Conduits are just not really fun or interesting. They’re just basically talents you grind out.

Every Covenant has a single conduit that powers up your Covenant ability. Nerfing it for a single class is not an accross the board “70-90%, Ripcord essentially pulled” moment.

You obviously don’t understand what the “pulltheripcord” thing even means.

I’m not saying you will be unhappy, just that there isn’t much “happiness” to be found in conduits.

Then who’s going to test things out so you have an enjoyable experience ?

I went into Beta blind btw. Just because I got an early start doesn’t mean I was born with knowledge about Shadowland systems. Conduits just aren’t really “enjoyable”. They mostly are. They’re RNG drops, higher ilvl = higher rank, and you have a RNG item you can buy to unlock them and upgrade them, except it always picks your lowest ranked one to upgrade.

Don’t know how to balance it? Just nerf it to oblivion and ignore its existence!

Nope, Covenants still matter a whole lot and are still pretty imbalanced. You’ll still need sims and theorycrafters to tell you which is best, unless you don’t care about being optimal.

Entails some major nerfs for a lot of different things- not just conduits, but also covenant abilities and legendaries, would have been nice if it was cited by OP though.

That said, most the people who are going “Oh yea??? SHOW US CITATIONS” actually mean, “Shut up!” and I don’t see a reason to engage with them.

From past history they fix things as they go when it hits live. Beta is simply early access, stress testing, and free advertisement.

You are experiencing a sham system that isn’t even going to launch that way on live. They are changing it lol.

Never understood people who want to read the plot, spoilers, etc for movies before they even see it.

I don’t think that’s what people mean at all, though I can’t speak for all but I can speak for myself and I’m fine reading what others thoughts are on changes being made.

When I wrote that I hadn’t seen a Video From Preach regarding these changes to show just have drastic you make them out to be, that’s because I haven’t. I didn’t ask for you to hunt down some YouTube poster to link to me to prove your point.

I could hunt down any old YouTube Vid if I wanted, I stated a Video from Preach. Which is someone I watch and enjoy a lot of his points on the game. He hasn’t made any Doom and Gloom videos regarding any Drastic changes.

OP is claiming “Ripcord essentially pulled”, which is completely false.

Beta has seen many actual iterations, fixes and changes to make the overall experience better.

Did you know you couldn’t even level to 60 3 weeks ago ? If those changes had gone live without Beta testers helping Blizzard identify the bottlenecks, you would have had a pretty bad time.

At this point in time, the system isn’t changing outside of minor tuning adjustments. The system as we’re playing on Beta is going live, and its mostly intact from what it was months ago.

Conduits themselves haven’t really seen any changes as far as their acquisition and upgrades goes after they introduced the stygia method of acquiring and upgrading them. That was the last “big change”.

You don’t need to read any plot or spoilers to experience the game systems. In fact, a lot of it is coveniently “spoiler tagged” on Beta.

I’ve watched just about all of his videos while compiling.

If you’ve been watching him and Fin do their cov wars series, they’ve gone over how much less cov abilities contribute to their damage after the nerfs. In one video, preach showed the damage contribution of each ability to a standard rotation (from Dratnos I believe) and they’re more balanced but extremely low compared to what they were.

Tuning changes or not, a lot of abilites were nerfed heavily. Maybe not as much as OP claimed, but there are nonetheless, nerfs.
Simply because some things got buffed doesn’t mean the major nerfs are moot.

The point is : the Ripcord is not “essentially pulled”, it wasn’t even tugged on, or looked at.

But they are, Covenants are still a choice you’ll have to make and they will still impact your performance if you pick wrong and that impact will still be significant.

Conduit changes don’t even have anything to do with the Ripcord anyway : Conduits outside of the 1 potency “Covenant” conduit are covenant agnostic.

They have and I have watched their videos on all the changes being made. None of those videos are some Doom and Gloom Videos detailing some Drastic % change that you claimed.

That’s the point I was making which I think a lot of others have as well. Your claims that there is some huge % nerf so in essence the whole #pulltheripcord worked. That’s contrary to what is actually going on, Blizzard is making numbers adjustments as they always do, but nothing as drastic as you put.
