Well, no. You go into the content as soon as you can.
The legendary upgrade is a bump in power whenever it becomes available.
I’d prefer that they just unlock the secondary legendary day one, mind you. Just pointing out that it’s a timegated indirect nerf on content, not unlike most borrowed power stuff.
I think it’s a much bigger issue than all of the gating. Korthia feels like a zone literally setup as a support system to SoD. I do not remember a single zone setup like that, once upon a time.
The adventure is gone!

My issue is that he’s saying that new players are affected differently than non new players.
We expected them to ignore it, but little did we know they were glancing over them and going “welp, looks like a Microsoft problem!” all this time.
I do have to agree with you about this game isn’t friendly to new players or those that have been gone a long period of time .
If you play on a regular basis and complete every patch as it comes it is friendly on mains (more or less) .
Time gates are understandable to an extent but to be honest things lik rep grinds should not be on a daily lock out but a weekly . Yes some make get their entire week done in a day or 2 but when some of those people are those that play 1 or 2 days a week it makes up for the rep they would of lost if it was on a daily lockout.
Yes story does need some what of a lock out but even more so it needs more in game story so that there is more to do each week .
Just a few random thoughts

consensual wpvp still exists, you just have to flag up.
That is why I think rep should not be on a daily but weekly lockout . That way those that can’t do it every day don’t loose any for the week if they can only do it 1 or 2 days.

You take things like rep grinding which is on a daily lockout.
You take a person that plays every day and compare it to someone who plays say 1 or 2 days a week . For anything that requires rep like the 2nd legendary in 9.2 those that play constantly then those playing for a limited time. The only way the person’s playing less can catch up is if rep goes to a weekly lock out .

Raids have never released all at once. They were opened as the expansion went on, and most needed attunements OR they needed resist gear you had to farm for an entire 40 man raid + recipes that you could only get from said raid.
Maybe I misread what you sad though. I took it as all raids were released together in one patch which has never been the case.

which is hindered by so many dailies to do’s…its a pain at times to get em done.
I was on some world boss and some guy in group was going wth man…no groups really for this in WM mode so I switch and now its a packed house just like that? you all scared of pvp?
No…many jsut want this done. no dealing with cherry picks on dead ringer areas (ie. world boss its not hard to find people).
I keep my pvp to instanced. Learned that lesson as to why in the 15thg anniversary event. had a WM on horde leveler on the event world boss. Got jumped by 5 alliance. Okay, I asked for that gank…let me just turn this off.
With no LFG for sub 50’s, lets not make myself the easy as hell +1 thrill kill waiting for a group lol.
WM off showed me more people as well. gets the chores done faster way I see it.
I commented further down that I didnt realise in TBC that most of the raids were released at the same time and that it was therefore just a matter of working through the attunments to be able to do them, or something like that.
Most of the borrowed powers we have gotten since Legion hasn’t been the 1 or 2 active abilities we have gotten
Legion had 1 from the weapon BfA had 1 from the main essence and SL 2 from the covenants
The main borrowed power has been all the passive stuff tied into all of it from the artifact weapons and netherlight crucible to azerite gear and essences and even corrupted gear and SL with the Soulbinds and Conduits.
THose passives had more to do with what we have done damage , tanking or healing wise then any of the active abilities we’ve gotten over the last 3 expansions.
They were not released at the same time though. Blizz has always staggered content releases, including raids, over an expansion. Mt. Hyjal was 5 months after Serpentshrine and the first batch of content.

If I were a new player just getting to 60 and then be overwhelmed with “stuff” you have to do would be too much. If it was a new expansion release then sure that’s fine, but this late into the expansion it’s rough to be a new player. You’d have to get lucky to end up in a decent/helpful guild. Most likely you’d leave after a month and head over to “another” mmo. Then again there are plenty of people who stick with wow but something tells me more people drop than stay.
It also doesn’t help that the overall community is quite bad.
From what I have gathered from a former member of the guild Mike Ybarra is in .
Mike isn’t the one actully doing the carries , it is the guild /raid leader doing it . Mike is just a member and all he does is advertise his stream . But the thing is the problem isn’t nor has it ever been the ones doing the carries . The problem is those that want the carry .
If people don’t go looking for carries then people won’t have a reason to make carry groups.
I did say ‘most of them’. I believe Kara, Serpentshrine Cavern, Gruul and Megtheridon were released in the same early patch…possibly another, cant remember. Id have to check the patch notes to be sure of the ones that came out at the same time.
That reddit post I linked seems to have a decent chart of release days for early WoW raids. They cite sources too which is nice.
Member tabards in WotLK and how they actually got more people into dungeons?
Member how a huge % of players think WotLK was the best expac ever?
Member how letting people spam something like rep didn’t lose Blizz money?
I member.
I member real good.
Wish they did.

Looks like he did the usual thing of claiming to speak for “new players” but not actually represent their interests at all.
For new players, all the “timegating” is new content.
He’s asking for a game with less content. A return to WoD. I think that’s crazy.
