Hardly anybody wants a balanced server. Even the ones who do think they want this actually feel comfortable with an advantage on their side.
Be real about the problem; The Alliance are tired of being camped to the point of strangulation. Flamelash got so bad; that materials and pots couldnât even remotely be made because of how toxic the Horde was there.
The Alliance doesnât transfer with the intent of an advantage. Theyâre transferring to they can have a fun, enjoyable experience with the game. Where they can go out into the world with a slight threat of being attacked .
Flamelash took away the joy of this game. They over-slaughtered their fields of Alliance to even camping all their Flight Paths and major cities⌠and now theyâre left with what? 20 lv. 60 people whoâre unaware or unable to swap before it got closed? Theyâre now locked out of multiple ways of getting honor⌠and thereâs no real recovery from this.
The Alliance wants to have fun; not be camped to the end of the earth. PvP happened on a pvp server; but when does it become too much and youâre ruining the experience for everyone?
Does every PvP server need to be locked out of AQ because of the lack of Alliance war effort support?
Does Every PvP server need to lose its Alliance playerbase to stand a chance?
60/40 is fairly balanced, why would they bail like that?
People need to realize its not the faction balance thats the problem, its the overall population. Even on Skeram, a solid 70/30 server, there were alliance at EVERY SINGLE FP IN THE GAME sheeping and killing you as you landed. Because the server has 6000 people, not because there is too many alliance to horde or any such thing. The game world was not designed for 6000 players.
Wow thatâs horrible
60-40 means that there is 3 horde for every 2 alliance. That is not balanced. That is like playing basketball 3v2.
Youâre NEVER going to have 50-50 balance, its impossible. Again, the issue is over-population, not faction balance. It wouldnât matter if you were outnumbered 60/40 if you didnât see the 60 (or 40) every 5 steps.
We all agree on that yes.
You will literally neverâŚeverâŚever have a server thatâs exactly 2v2. 3v2 is literally the single best you will ever have and what has ever been the most balanced.
i wasnât addressing the question of can a server be perfectly balanced. I was simply pointing out that it isnât . Whether a server is balanced and whether or not it can be balanced are two separate questions
Desperate to point out even the smallest inaccuracy so you can comfortably disregard this slow-motion disaster.
its not going to be perfect.
this just highlights a flaw in the classic game, blizzard isnt going to constantly monitor faction balance. they never have done that tbh
If you think 60/40 is balanced you are brain dead.
its not going to be perfect.

The original game didnât have ABSURDLY high population caps. Vanilla was intentionally designed around servers having a certain population (as highlighted by the health of Faction leaders, number of city guards, etc.). If they wanted to quadruple the size of servers for no reason for Classic, then they should have balanced the rest of the world around that new number.
Horde live in IF on Flamelash now because not even the city can defend itself. This is not a âflaw in the classic gameâ. The original version was nothing like this, and was never intended to be like this.
Be real about the problem;
The problem is that, across the board, people donât want to PvP as Alliance in the numbers that want to as Horde. This isnât a new development, it has been like this for a decade over in Retail, where they literally bribe Alliance players to turn PvP on, because otherwise they donât. Until you get more people to PvP as Alliance, this will NEVER change.
Does every PvP server need to be locked out of AQ because of the lack of Alliance war effort support?

âIf he dies, he dies.â
If they wanted to quadruple the size of servers for no reason for Classic, then they should have balanced the rest of the world around that new number.
it wasnt for no reason it was to be more cost effective
And because they had no clue what level the populations would stabilize at.
This. They were absolutely sure 80% of people would hate Classic and leave within the first few months.
Ironically, the fact that Classic was an actual good product screwed us.
Screwed yâall. Mankrik is just fine, thanks.
Compared to some other servers 60/40 is good.
What is thunderfuryâs split? I donât seem to have any issues
Pretty Clueless should be your guild title.
people did leave, its not like that didnt happen
