Right now Classic on a pvp server is unplayable

Nope, I rolled on Tich back in vanilla and it was great. Played on PvP servers through every expansion as well. I know exactly what PvP servers are and prefer them. The problem is that this isn’t a matter of PvP, it’s a matter of game functionality.

im all good for 1v1, 2v1 1v2, 2v2, but when a faction is camping FP and graveyards, for HOURS, in a group of 10, thats not pvp, thats just being an arrse, the server im on has large groups at EPL, WPL, Winter, BRM, etc, for hours, its not balanced its about a 5-1 horde on my server, there is no chance of good world pvp when every area has large groups vs the sparce alliance thats on. i loged off to watch the game, came back halftime, same group in EPL, loged back off, came back at the end of the game, SAME group still there… thats just making the game unplayable.

I know its a pvp server but you have 5 level 60 horde patrolling all the areas killing everyone and everything in sight making it so you cant level camping graveyards and flight paths I cant level any of my toons now without 5 level 60s killing me in the middle of no where because they check every cave for people and its getting annoying

Do you understand that the “Classic” servers hold way way way more people than Vanilla servers did? What we are experiencing right now is NOT true Vanilla and this is NOT what world PvP was back then. Yea we had wars and gank fests but this is another level. Its weird.

This is exactly what I’ve been saying. Horde players opinions don’t really matter in this case because 85% of the time it benefits Horde. Therefore their opinion is high biased, because the status quo benefits them.

Everyone here is clearly missing the point. You can’t release an honor system without dropping a battleground as well. It makes the game unplayable past 40. You go to quest for 5 min, then you get steamrolled by 10 level sixties. You run back, and then you die again by another pack of sixties. I know they’re trying to recreate the vanilla experience, but they should also learn from their mistakes. People are just gonna let their time expire until phase 3.

Good lord people are ridiculously tribal. It’s more about whichever side is on the bad end of a faction imbalance. On my server, it’s allies roving in packs and ganking. People are people, no matter what faction they choose in a video game.

Since open-world PvP hit, I’ve been camped, hunted down in the wild, ganked, grouped upon, and haven’t been able to grind, and I’ve done the same to others. And I love it. If your faction can’t meet the challenge as, well, a faction, and if you don’t want to level in dungeons and insist on an open-world grind, then you have to adapt. I slapped on a deep dive helmet and have been grinding on the coasts underwater.

I really missed this atmosphere and am glad I picked a PvP server lol

It’s not worth wasting time asking Blizzard for changes because they won’t listen and it’s not worth trying to discuss the game because fanboys will shoot you down.

Anyway, you’re not missing much by leaving the game or taking a break until AV is released. It’s not like this game’s population will survive Shadowlands anyway.
