Returning player can't find any OLD characters

We wouldn’t be able to provide account specific information exactly, nor would it be needed. If you follow the advice I gave in my previous reply that should start the process in recovering the account. If that can be done, we’ll be able to update the account information and grant you access.

I would include an email address you would want that changed to, it can’t be an address currently in use for a Battle.net account. Alternatively, you can request that the license be moved to your current Battle.net account. That might be possible, but I would ask in your ticket.

thanks for the reply, I wrote already and raised a ticket. but it’s been 1 wk and the help I received so far was minimal. always asking for more info and I never received any real answer on what happened to my account. but thanks a lot for helping out!

Yes, the first contacts were to get enough information to locate the account.

The follow up is based on what was found and asking for some information we can use as verification so that we can return the account to you.

I know it can be a bit of a lengthy process, but we want to make sure we’re not giving an account to someone who isn’t the registered user. I hope you can understand our caution there.

Good luck!

Same boat as some of these other people. looking for my release day…way back in 2004…characters. Have a pally named Noluck that I would at least like to have back. Also missing achievements, mounts, pets and toys.

Last log on was Oct of 2019 according to my account info.

That would usually indicate that you’re on the wrong battle.net account (wrong e-mail). Do you recall any other e-mail addresses you might have used to create a battle.net account (don’t post them), and if so, try logging into those.

Well would that apply if I can see transactions going all the way back to 2011 with this battle.net account? I know at one point I did change my email to the current one…around 2011 i would guess…and have played while under this account associated with my email.

Much like them, Mutorcs, you appear to be logged into the wrong account. This one was created in 2011.

Luckily, I’m a pretty good detective, so I believe I found the WoW license. It is on another Battle.net account, under your name and under a Gmail email address.

The best hint I can give you is that it is similar to the email address for this Battle.net account, just with a different number.

Hopefully that helps.

hmmm…please tell me I don’t have to try and remember a password too from 9ish years ago! ugh lol!

You can reset your password through the site. I think the bigger issue is that you still have a physical Authenticator on that account. If you don’t have the device you’ll need to have it removed.

I still have it. its sitting right in front of me on my desk. still works too! I just need to figure out that email addy now

How about this… it’s your current email, but instead of the number you are using for that it’s the first two digits of your IP address.

ahhh…ok. Now when its asks for my authenticator…I put in the code…then it tells me “we couldn’t find a blizzard account with that information”

Not sure. The Authenticator might be out of sync and you’ll need to have it removed anyway. At least temporarily. The ticket option I linked is usually pretty quick. We try to get you back into the game as soon as we can.

Did you ever have more than one Authenticator? You used to only be able to attach it to one account so people go more than one.

Thanks for the help! who do I email so I can tell them you deserve a raise?

Nope…this is the only account I have a authenticator on

Drat. I was hoping you had another in a desk drawer or backpack. I am still seriously impressed you still have it and that you still had as much info as you did!

Vrak is pretty awesome at finding stuff if you just give him the clues.

SUCCESS!! Unfortunately I subbed to the wrong account but I found my stuff! Again…thanks for all the help!

That can be fixed too. If you JUST subbed and have not really played, ask them to refund it so you can apply the time to the account you want. They normally will do that if it was super recent.
