I’m also having trouble finding a Rogue and a DK from when I played back in Cata. They as far as I can remember they were on the realm Uther but when I try the create a new character and log method they don’t show up. Just want to figure out if they were purged maybe so I can move on lol
Characters don’t really get purged, unless they were deleted and weren’t a high enough level to stick around.
I see an Orc Death Knight that looks like it started out on Llane before becoming Human and then moving realms and switching back to an Orc. It’s on Sentinels deleted.
There is a Human Rogue on Llane, also deleted.
Unfortunately, with the launch of Warbands the way it all works forced us to temporarily turn off the Character Undelete options. We hope to have it back online as soon as we can but we do not currently have an estimated time when that will happen.
Keep in mind, with the level squish from the Shadowlands expansion your characters might be a lower level than you remember.

Another returning player here hoping for some help finding everything I used to have, all those old toons.
If you could remember any of their names, along with servers. It’d help the blues find sad toons.

The Battle.net account you are currently logged into only has the one WoW license which was created back in 2019. You have several characters spread out across multiple realms, but I don’t see any high level characters.
All the characters for Modern WoW you created within the last day or so. There are only Cataclysm Classic characters, the highest level character on Sulfuras (level 18).
If you can recall any character names/realms we can do some searching, class, race, approximate level helps.

Returning player, am digging through realms but am not having much luck. Same email address and assuming correct account.
From what I can see, Gardn, the named WoW license on this Battle.net housed a few characters at one time, mostly a Troll Hunter. That seems to have been transferred to your WoW#1 license back in 2010.
The character is on Khaz’goroth. You also have several other characters on Trollbane, but most are on Khaz’goroth. If you were going to activate any license, it probably would be most useful to do WoW#1.
Keep in mind we did have a level squish when the Shadowlands expansion released, so your characters will not be the level you remember them at.

I am having the same issue, I cannot find the server my characters were on. Last time I played was in MoP. Possible that the old server was merged or doesn’t exist anymore? Any help on finding my old characters? When I logged in I had one death knight, but I played a fire mage through Cataclysm and MoP.
No realms in Retail have been merged or deleted.

Can you see any of your characters if you check the Item Restoration service? It can show all characters across all licenses (and game versions) under your Battle Net. Perhaps it can find your lost characters.

A name/realm would be helpful, but I see characters on War Within realms, and also Cata realms.
Dunemaul seems to be where your higher level characters are in War Within.
Grobbulus and Sulfuras for Cataclysm.

im having an issue finding my characters i have quite a few high level that are not listed or under the realm list either although they are listed under the item restoration screen i have no idea the realm they were on as it was several years ago when i purchased dragonflight anyway i can find out the realm they are on and how to get access to them for my new expensive purchase of the epic war within i do not u8nderstand why they are not on the list to play
I believe the realm you are looking for is Shadowmoon.
These are indeed very old. You will likely need to make a fresh character on Shadowmoon, log into it and back out before the list refreshes.
You should see the characters then and they’ll have numbers in the name. They have not been accessed since about 2009 and the names were released. You should be able to just choose an available name when you access a character.

Hello! I am having the same issue. been about 2 years. My Main Toon and all my high level alts are missing in action. I see all my achievements and mounts listed under the account but no human priest, Thelsumazu. I think was on Ysera last. Thank you in advance for any help.
You have a bunch of WoW licenses on the account so I’ll try to provide what specifics I can.
Your named-006 license has a Gnome Rogue, Human Warlock and Human Death Knight on Korgath.
Named-007 you have characters on Bonechewer, Korgath, Laughing Skull, and Nathrezim. The highest level characters being on Korgath and Nathrezim.
WoW#2 has the level 60 Human Priest on Gilneas. You have other characters on Korgath and Ysera.
WoW#3 a level 80 Worgan Warlock on Ysera.
WoW#4 has some level characters on Korgath.
Keep in mind, all of the levels listed are pre-level squish so once you log in the level will be considerably lower.
