Returning player can't find any OLD characters

ok i will try that…but do i have to have an active account to see the old characters?

You can see old characters by logging in to the realm using your original WoW license but any character above level 20 will be marked “Inactive”.

What Darth said, and they have all been upgraded to Shadowlands so don’t look for Mists of Pandaria.

They should still have your old level showing. It doesn’t update to the new leveling system until you log in to the character.

Your WoW#1 account looks to be your main license on this Battle.net account and created in 2012. However, looking at the characters on it they are all low level. The oldest characters on the license are on Darkspear, but under level 10.

It may be you have another Battle.net account out there. If you have any old CD keys, we may be able to help find it, or if there are any other email addresses you use, give those a try.

Any old character likely would have their name changed by now, but if you recall any, give me the name, class and race. I may be able to find something.

I’m having the same issue. Last i remember playing was like 2009. Was hoping to revive the old characters but i cant find them anywhere. I was sure I was on Dethecus. There’s a small chance I had a different bnet account, but i don’t think so. If so I don’t have the email anymore. Can anyone help?

From what I can see, the WoW license attached to this Battle.net account has only really been used for Classic. You have a bunch of characters on Sulfuras and Grobbulus. The only non-classic character is the new one you created recently.

The only other Battle.net I found with your name (since it seems rather unique), is an old starter edition.

Can you recall any character names? If you can, and also remember their class/race, I might be able to help track them down.

Thats great, thanks! I had a gnome rogue of similar name (Beowolf or Beowulf, i think with the same accent above the name). May have been level 73. I also had a night elf warrior named Duroch (or maybe Durock). I think level 70.

Perfect, the two of those helped figure out where they are.

It is definitely a different Battle.net account. The best I can give you is a hint at the email. Starts with an R and is a Hotmail address.

If you don’t recall what it might be, or no longer have access to that email address you’d need to submit a ticket to recover the account. You’d use the option “The email address on my Battle.net Account was changed, or I don’t remember what it is.”.

Keep in mind, you will need to verify that you are the registered user for the account.

incredible, thanks so much! I definitely don’t have access to that email address anymore or remember specifically what it was, so hopefully Blizz can work some magic. Any chance you can give me the second letter? :stuck_out_tongue:

The second letter is an “i”, it has some numbers in it as well. That is probably as far as I should go there. Good luck.

Are you able to confirm that the server that those characters are on is indeed Dethecus? They are asking for that to confirm the account. And what was the spelling of the Rogue’s name?

Yes, on Dethecus, and the spelling is the same as your Rogue here.

I should note that you also have characters on Alleria, Area 52, Blackrock, Mal’Ganis, Garrosh, Kel’Thuzad, Korgath, and Nazjatar,

I just renewed my sub today and logged in to see most of my characters gone. I thought I remembered having close to 50 characters spread amongst a few servers but now I only see 16. I know I had a dwarf mage ‘Arthogan’ that was around level 100 during Legion, and a higher level warlock that I spent a lot of time grinding archeology with. Sadly I don’t remember the exact server that these characters were on, so if I could just get some help on understanding what happened or getting them back that would be greatly appreciated.

The good news is that Blizzard doesn’t purge characters due to inactivity. So if there were there when you left, they should still be there.

That said, they might look a little funny if their names were released or due to the Level squish so they may not be the same level as when you left.

That said, if it’s the realm you’re unsure of, hopefully one of our amazing Support Forum Agents (SFAs) can lend a hand with that.

Looks like a lot of characters on Dalaran, Drak’thul, Etrigg and Skywall. The one you mention is on Skywall.

When you’ve been gone a long time they just drop off the character list.

You may need to make a new character and log into the realm to refresh the list.
