I asked for it. Play retail if you don’t like it.
WOTLK had 12mil players so dungeon finder wasn’t necessary. WOTLK classic is going to have a fraction of that number so groups are going to quickly become harder and harder to find just like classic and Bc classic
100% agree. Dungeon finder was the single, best upgrade to the game. They could simply make it server only, if they wanted to keep server integrity. The people that dislike it could simply NOT USE IT. Awful decision.
Yup I’m out as well I don’t ha e the time to meet ppl and start dungeons runs.
Lfd is pivotal to the casual player.
- Level 70 Boost – The level cap will be increased to 80, and we’re introducing a Level 70 Boost so those who didn’t play Burning Crusade Classic but wish to play Wrath with their friends or explore Northrend can do so right away. This boost will be available one per account and can be used on any class except Death Knights.
- No Dungeon Finder – Players rediscovering Wrath of the Lich King Classic won’t find the Looking for Dungeon feature originally added in Patch 3.3.5. We’ve heard from our Classic community that the importance of social bonds is a big part of what makes Classic their game of choice, and we agree.
HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHA
More people actually HATE boosts…and you add it…
More people actually WANT RDF.…and you take it away?
Are you guys high? I thought this type of behavior was stopped at Blizzard. Guess not.
And there I thought Blizzard would actually start listening to THE PLAYERBASE and not 1 head who flooded forums on alts.
Whine some more…
But do it over in the Classic forum.
Mega servers make it even worse, good luck looking at chat scroll by at a million miles a second and not being able to read what your looking for.
Literally all you needed to do was re-release Wrath with Dual Spec at the start of the xpack.
What people are you listening to that are telling you no-one wants Dungeon Finder exactly?
give us the dungeon finder tool! do not take that away TERRIBLE decision
I stay in this expansion, until I see if there is a good one in 10.1
LFD is an iconic part of Wrath and should be available day 1 of launch. Reiterating what others have said spamming to find dungeon groups is a miserable experience and does not lead to some imaginary forging of friendships within our respective servers. Even trying to find a group by pinging guild members isn’t guaranteed to work and is also painful, especially for west coast individuals like myself playing on east coast realms (mega server, you have to) with differing work schedules.
Tired of hearing the “lazy dps” quip from some players. Seeing as I’m a warrior I’ll have dual spec tank and so will many other classes have their tank or healing specs. We just want what was available at the time to be available again. This tool was a godsend to many players like myself who want to play the game and not needlessly suffer in general chats for lengthy periods at a time.
How do you release a game with the classic label then gut it of one of the main features that WotLK had? I was really excited for wrath classic right up until I read LFD won’t be in it.
Blizzard bowing to the gold sellers is sad to see. I guess I’m out again when my sub runs out at the end of the month. Also people on smaller pop servers are well and truly screwed with this decision. GJ blizz.

I’d guess because Dungeon Finder made leveling more enjoyable, they want to push people into the paid boosts. Shareholders > Players. The one thing that destroyed this game wasn’t a feature added to the game, it was being purchased by Activision. Period.
It’s honestly the best possible explanation right now.
Dungeon Finder is a plague. It killed the community in retail. Keep it out of classic.
I’m not sure which “community” Blizzard was listening to but it obviously wasn’t theirs
I agree with your sentiment, though just want to point out that Dungeon Finder wasn’t added until ICC patch, over a year into WotLK. It was not part of the game until what will end up being Phase 4 of WotLK classic. So arguing that it should be added immediately to line up with the classic experience is, while I would prefer it as well, not correct.
That’s the other obvious issue here.
NOT having LFD is making TBC progressively worse!
Not having it is currently causing all sorts of issues, and they must be aware of all those issues, so they can’t even say they are doing it because it works/worked so well in classic and TBC!
The only explanation credily possible is they feel LFD will hurt their bottomline due to boosts because they think number of boosts > number of players.
I fixed that for you.
I’m sorry but the removal of dungeon finder is a mistake. It’s a feature many players have been looking forward to. It does not prevent you from forming a group the old fashioned way. What it does is open up a lot more opportunities for players instead of limiting them to spamming trade chat. That’s the main reason I don’t do heroics in tbc much. Maybe try listing to the majority of players not just the extremely loud and whiny classic Andies. The original versions of the expansions were not perfect and vanilla was far from a perfect model. The game didn’t truly start to degrade until cata/mop the success of wrath is partly because of the improvements of features.
