No. It didn’t. Players did.
Do you see much community in TBCC right now?
I play on ONE OF THE MOST populated servers. No one raids outside of guild. The only pugged raids are GDKP runs for carries to become even richer.
There is no community there. RDF didn’t kill it. If anything, it brought MORE players to play with each other and allowed players to meet new people. Retail got better community than Classic.
Then why are the so selective with changes? New time gates that weren’t in OG version of the game. All new custom changes brought forward over the course of past 4 years.
RDF should have been added since day 1.
THE ONLY CHANGE it needed, was to have daily heroic lock outs. THATS IT.
My disagreement with the removal of LFD fully granted it came later in the game and yes wrath in the beginning will launch very well no doubt. But when guilds and such do the content get what they need complete the game in the end unless your on a mega server it’s going to be hard for players to form groups when there is no one around or your stuck on a dead server and the only way to try to form one is to cash in and transfer which the price for that is overkill honestly.
Its like Blizzard forgot who wanted classic in the first place. The private server community were the ones that screamed for classic servers, and now you guys just ignore us we want FRESH servers. Please release Tbc SoM and eventually Wotlk SoM with fresh servers not exporting your character over so I can actually enjoy these versions of WoW if not then I’m just staying on private servers were the majority of people who actually play these games are at.
Wrath really needs a bit of a retune in difficulty and a new tier 7, rehashed Naxx isn’t good enough.
It seems they thought no LFD would be enough to excite the masses, bare minimum effort.
thats the intent, to keep you logged in as long as possible. Also, to promote buying boosts and such probably not sure if theres a wow token in classic. Havent touched it since because of the reasons you enumerated
So people want the TRUE CLASSIC EXPERIENCE but want features of what was part of that experience removed? LFD was part of WOTLK. It’s a good thing I like what I have seen from dragonflights because I doubt I will bother with Wrath classic now.
Yeah, I’m aware LFD was an addition when what Forge of Souls and the others came out. Thing is we’ve already crossed thresholds such as 1.12 talents available on classic launch day 1. Gatekeeping LFD until later phases in Wrath or not providing this at all (to me and what appears to be the majority of the playerbase) is nonsensical.
I think it’s safe to say you just axed a very large portion of your subscriptions with that change. That was a very stupid idea. No one was upset about the dungeon finder and no one would have cared if it was implemented- you would have still got those subscriptions. Now you have lost a bunch due to this absolute mind boggling dumb change.
You obviously have no idea what the game is on a NON mega server. There are never any groups and the most important thing about the LFD tool was that it allowed you to eventually get people who were on those mega servers.
Atleast make a cross realm community where you can join a shared lfg channel and invite cross realm atleast for those low pop servers so we don’t have to transfer off or just not sub at all because the game is going to be boring as f*** if you’re not in a raiding guild
“im glad theyre keeping LFD out of classic”… in the expac that introduced it and it was nothing but a success. lotta jaded “kool kids” in here under the flag of no changes…
same here. subscription has already been cancelled on my end as of the second i saw that announcement. whoever made the decision of no dungeon finder as it ruins the social sense, and then said arena teams are gone because the individual rating is whats more important, obviously didnt listen to the community that blizzard claims to have listened to. they did con 5 months out of me so there’s that
