I am in the minority it seems, that is fine with no LFD. However, this is a very fair compromise. The auto-teleport to the dungeon is the main gripe I have with LFD.
Brilliant… instead of just removing the cross realm portion of dungeon finder, which is how “community” is lost, you’re removing it entirely.
We already have to use LFG add ons to filter the crazy amount of spam in the LFG channels. Leveling through dungeons will continue to be impossible due to the hassle. Paid dungeon boosts will continue to be ‘meta’ so half the content continues to be untouched except by a single high level mage/paladin while people continue to afk at the entrance. Definitely not a good announcement.

I literally had to quit classic and tbc because it was impossible to find groups and level up at certain points. Dungeon finder being removed automatically makes me not want to play wrath classic now - the throwback I was most looking forward to! So disappointed! Please reconsider!

They should try and meet both sides halfway. Leave in DF but make it so the meeting stones queue you for that dungeon. You fly to the instance. Click the stone and join the queue for it. I’m either way on it honestly with or without I will enjoy Wrath classic. CF was in the ICC patch so We spent most of wrath classic without it.

I have a deep feeling this is what was trying to be said?
I don’t know a single player that would rather spam the lfg chat for 2 hours to find a group and careful monitor an addon listing all groups to not miss their chance, completely unable to play the game because you can’t keep your eyes off the list, instead of the formidable QoL of entering a queue in the background that let’s you enjoy the game and do your regular quests and dailies while you wait.
Please poll the entire player base about that change instead of listening to a vocal minority of delusional players clinging to this idea that is any form of community on servers too big to know a tenth of the active guilds.
If these people don’t want to use the tool and prefer to continue spamming the chat, they are free to opt out of the LFG tool and continue to do so with their “community”. No one is forcing them. Even if the LFG tool is in the game, nothing is stopping you from creating a tight knit group of dungeon regulars on your server and travelling to the dungeon entrance by your own means if it’s essential to the way you enjoy the game.

The people on here rejoicing of this must enjoy screaming into a bot spam filled LFG and world chat channel to find people for dungeons. I’m not apologizing for saying this - that is a horrible thing for classic and is one of it’s biggest flaws pre-dungeon finder. If you’re in a guild with a clique to do stuff with that’s great, dungeon finder isn’t for you. The people not in a guild or clique to do stuff with? Well, I guess you can’t do anything in Wrath.

Yes instead you just sit semi afk spamming the LFG channel instead. It is still the same thing but you have to do it manually. The only way you avoid this is if you know people, and if you do that you wouldn’t be doing pugs, LFD or anything like that in the first place.
How groups form doesn’t automatically make people more active in the world, it just makes forming pugs more tedious. It is why I am considering not even doing end game content as I don’t have time to check the chat channels for forming a group for 15+ minutes with my business I am trying to get off the ground. That same business is why I am no longer in a guild. I vanish from the game for weeks at a time. LFD would have let me do dungeons again with my hectic life so I don’t have to alt tab every miunte to spam a channel if I want to form a gorup.

I agree with most of the posters here, I enjoyed LFD back in Wrath, and was looking forward to it in Wrath Classic quite a bit. I am not sure how many people they polled, but I urge you Blizz, get a larger sample size, because your data is skewed…badly.

I am insanely let down about the dungeon finder. I have been waiting since Classic came out for this expansion specifically for the dungeon finder. I don’t have friends to play this game with so that feature was the greatest thing that kept me playing, now I don’t even see a point in starting again.

The current dungeon finding strategies (Trade spam, LFG spam, LFG Bulletin Board) offer limited to no social bonding, and LFD only replaces those already non-social mechanisms. I don’t see the harm in having it as an optional system, and there’s a whole lot of convenience being with held by removing it.
Additionally posting the absence of dungeon finder (my favorite way to level) immediately below a boost announcement just makes me /sigh

To many people will miss the Dungeon Finder. It is a really good tool for people with limited time to play due work or other responsibilities (like me). I think it just need to be optional. The actual system is everything but social, you just spam in the chat, play with random people until finish or wipe, then repeat. It is not fun
