Hi. I didn’t hit Renown Rank 15 last week, because I was a little slow on doing the quest, so coming into today I was at Renown Rank 14. Before I picked up the quest to rescue souls from the Maw (“Return Lost Souls”), I picked up the weekly to infuse 1000 anima into my Covenant’s reservoir and completed it by turning in the quest you get from Castle Nathria that rewards 1200 anima, which brought me to Renown Rank 15.
To my great surprise, the quest “Return Lost Souls” vanished from my order hall before I got a chance to accept it after I did this. Zoning out and back into the Heart of the Forest, as well as logging out and back in, has not fixed this issue. As it stands, I am now permanently one renown behind because I did my weekly quests in what is apparently the wrong order, with no warning at all.
As I have not completed the weekly quest-- and that fact should be visible on my character’s quest flags-- I hope this can be corrected and I can regain proper access to the weekly.

That was the wrong character; this is the character with the problem. I’m not sure why I was posting as my Warrior alt.
An update: I finished last week’s covenant storyline quest, hoping that perhaps gaining another Renown rank would somehow jump-start my missing weekly quest into appearing, but “Return Lost Souls” is still MIA.
Sorry, Bozwix, I’m not certain why that quest isn’t available to you. You should otherwise be able to reach your renown cap by doing other activities like World Quests, Dungeons, etc… it can be a random reward from those activities.
If the quest doesn’t show up I’d recommend submitting a bug report so our QA team can take a look.

This same thing has happened to me on my Druid just now (also Night Fae), my question is how will I get my 10 lost souls this week if the quest never appears?
I wasn’t aware of the catch-up mechanisms for Renown, but a friend just told me about them-- if all I’m out is some redeemed souls, then it’s a significantly less urgent issue (for me, at least). Thanks!

yep same here was renown 14 now im 15 with only resvoir quest no soul quest
It sounds like a bug. Maybe their code made bad assumptions.
I can speak to this issue today.
When I logged in I was renowned 14 and the soul quest was available in my covenant. I did NOT pick it up however. I knew I would hit R15 today, so I waited to pick it up so I could get 10.
I hit R15 when killing the world boss and flew back to heart of the forest to pick up the souls quest…
GONE… not showing anymore. did a /reload and logged out and back in, nothing.

Same for me. The quest was there until I hit renown 15 and then it disappeared right in front of my face.

Same story here. Was r14 and then did the world boss which got me to r15 and souls quest was no longer available.
Ditto - I had the quest, hit renown 15, so I decided to drop it just in case it might give me the quest for more souls (I figured if nothing else I would be able to just pick back up the one I had prior if not) - well now the quest has completely disappered, I’ve tried relogging to no avail, and I’ve tried having guildies in the same covenent share the quest and it won’t share.
Even if we can pick up the renown elsewhere (through catch up mechanics) I’m pretty sure we can’t pick up the extra lost souls anywhere. This is incredibly frustrating, and hopefully it will be fixed before the week is out so everyone can continue with their progress.
It’s a known issue that the GM staff cannot do anything about yet…but the devs are working on it.
My quest appeared after I left the zone and came back. Had been gone most of the day.
