Return lfr to personal loot

If someone is going to treat loot that shady, talking to leadership will likely not accomplish anything. There is nothing to hold them accountable. They know most won’t leave or if they do, have few to no other options.

Edit: they to that. iPhone autocorrect is lackluster.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll vouch for this forever. We need 2 LFR queues. One that only has the restriction of whether you can equip the item, and one that won’t let you roll on anything you have a higher ilvl of. Which LFR do you think is gonna take longer?

Then you go to to the rest of the raid. If noone else thinks it’s a problem, you’re likely not a good match for that guild. If everyone thinks it’s a problem, you can force the leadership to listen, as they won’t have a raid to lead if they don’t.

Either way, this is entirely a social problem that can only be resolved by players talking to each other.

“Talking to each other” is not practical in every guild or server. It’s one of those things that sounds good on paper and I appreciate your thoughts on it, but at least back on those ML days, that just wasn’t an option.

On my server, if you tried that, you would have to start over and elsewhere and there were like 2 real raid guilds. You’d be so far in the back of the queue, you’d be lucky to get anything before the expansion is over. When it gets to that point, people give up. I don’t blame them.

Well, good news for those people is that cross realm communities are a thing now. Noone on Area 52 is going to know any of the side drama that happens on Kalecgos.

And this is what is hurting those lower ilevel people trying to get better loot to get into raiding and M+.

“I know you need this item but I’m going to roll need on it for transmog even though what I have is vastly more powerful.”

Raiding is nothing more then a casino. You got bad dice you don’t get gear even though you actually need it to progress.

So we should obviously get rid of the system that sometimes prevents this, and take away everyone’s option to do anything except roll need.

Raid Finder should calculated your gear score. If your in 480+ ilevel on a piece of gear you shouldn’t be able to roll need.

But if people are like 415 and below then the Need dice should only be available to those below a certain threshold.

Hurting us by making sure geared toons can’t roll against us for the same items they already have better versions of? Talk about hurts so good!

So what happened to everyone deserves the same chance at loot as everyone else?

The forums are a terrible sampling source. Look at how few people voted for tier sets relative to the game’s population. Look at how many threads there were about AOTC mounts coming to the trading post despite that not being true.

Look at how many of these threads are started by 0 post classic/alt toons that never even make a second post.

So someone in full Mythics should take loot away from people in LFR and heroioc dungeon finder gear? How is this fair?

People in full mythic gear shouldn’t be able to roll need in LFR cause they don’t -need- it. Cause what they have is superior.

The spirit is there, but the truth is, as long as people can, and do, roll need on all they can, “same chance” goes out the window as ones who can use the look, but not the item, are barred from rolling need while those who can use the look but it is not an upgrade (different item or tert stats/socket if the name is the same) can roll need over them and have the higher chance.

This can be true for all slots but: neck, rings and trinkets, as the stats or effect on those can override the pure ilvl.

The only reason anyone should be denied the chance to roll on loot in LFR is for non-participation.

If you participated in the kill, you have the same claim to the loot as everyone else who participated.

They participated in the kill, it’d be unfair to deny them a shot at the loot they’re eligible for.

If your in 490+ ilevel why should you be able to roll need on a 445 loot item that someone else can use as a upgrade?

If I hard carried damage, why should I be denied my chance at loot?

The answer doesn’t change just because you keep asking the same question.

This, I do agree with. Top it off with how many alts float around as well.
