Return lfr to personal loot

this makes no sense, people in 480+ bis gear rolling need in LFR while there are people in blue 430 gear…make it make sense… MMO players have become beyond heartless THEY DON’T CARE , “you need gear but i need a certain look” “transmog over your progression”…is this what you developers designed the game to be?
how is this productive?
YOU CAN’T trust gamers to be nice anymore BLIZZARD PLEASE DO SOMETHING THIS IS MADNESS.

Well… that’s why blizzard introduced the great vault.
Also i’m pretty sure m0-mythic 2 key gives better loot than LFR

also just so you understand… personal loot still means your rolling against those 480 geared players, its just that instead of the vast majority of them passing when they dont need something it will autoloot to them if they win it as the rolls happen automatically in the back end.

Nah, they designed it for BiS geared players to make throwaway toons just to be able to need gear while also performing numerically lower and still causing that gear to go to mogs.

I mean…Personal loot won’t solve this problem. Those people will still be able to get loot, And the Majority of the raid will get gold, or rings and trinkets.

The only thing I ever got under Personal loot was gold, rings, or trinkets. And returning to that system will not stop your problem. It will just take it out of your control.

There a dichotomy being drawn between the innocent newbie trying to gear and the 489 bully taking gear from him.

Both players can spam content- don’t be guilted into giving away any thing.

Idk man but seeing people mald over loot in normal raid is kinda funny. Unfortunate but entertainment for how boring and easy the raid is.

ILVL is temporary, but transmog is forever. I fully support rolling need for transmog until blizz starts giving lower rank appearances automatically when you get the higher pieces.

You do understand that in the PL system, that 480+ BIS could still be given an item that they won’t use and would have been an upgrade for the blue 430 player right?

So you want to get rid of the system that can sometimes prevent this, and force it to happen every time on every item?

idk why this is so hard for people to understand. maybe it makes them feel better thinking they can get it by whispering the PL guy “do you need that” vs the need guy who obviously thinks he does.

Hard disagree with returning to PL, but GL needs to be modified for queued content at the least.

Either offer more options when joining, or restrict Need rolls to be what’s logically inferred by deconstructing the loot roll options

Aside from trinkets, lfr level gear is super easy to obtain from the ED weeklies and other sources. Mog rolls by the overgeared is a completely valid reason to roll need in lfr.

Is it my turn to post this next week?

Loot drops should not be seen by the rest of the group, period. If you get something you don’t need, announce it in chat.

Make it make sense how changing back to PL is going to stop a 480 from winning gear and you not ?

Agreed. They do it in higher difficulty too to make gold.

Because you are competing against the algorithm more directly than the player choice aspect where they can leverage selling items or disenchanting things people actually need.

The more agency you give the player to govern themselves, the more toxic things become.

The OG poster is complaining about high level people rolling on stuff they don’t need. In a personal loot system the agency is taken away and you either get the loot or you dont. This avoids drama with other players and you can instead be annoyed with blizzard.

They should return to personal loot but with NO trading. if you don’t need loot from a boss then don’t do the content. Simple. Right now we have people doing content and then selling items they don’t need.
