Sure, but you’re also not doing what people are complaining about, you’re there for a specific upgrade that you’ll use, not to need everything and sell it (or vendor/de, or even tmog)
Calling me a troll because you gave examples that are incorrect isn’t actually making me a troll. It’s you unable to accept reality.
And I showed where your examples are wrong.
I never said it was immune. However you’re acting like begging for loot drops is exclusive to GL when it started with PL.
Pro tip.
If you use begging for loot with GL as an example and PL had the same issue your example is bad and doesn’t apply.
This was fixed in BFA or SL to make that impossible.
And if by some chance you’re correct it should be fixed. However that’s more of a bug than an actual issue by GL therefore still another bad example.
I don’t care about toxicity. I have an ignore button if I need it.
I care about how the loot system actually works.
I haven’t seen 3 reasons. Let alone 3 valid reasons.
Infact the only reasons I saw were trusts and I have effectively debunked them. Outside of that you made some very basic and incorrect statements. Makes me believe you are like most people who complain about GL and don’t know how either system works.
If your claims can’t handle basic scrutiny pretty much proves they aren’t actually valid.
Perks of PL, players so toxic that you have to not even get your loot in order to tolerate them. Sounds like a real winner!
Asking may not be impossible in GL, but I can count on troll hands the number of whispers I’ve had this season, and with PL I was getting that many every time I got something in most runs.
I thought it was funny they literally contradicted themselves in that comment.
Perhaps I confused you with someone else, and for that I apologize. There are a lot of people who will choose to lump anyone who disagrees with them at all in with the people who steadfastly assert that PL has no benefits at all.
It’s a mixed bag. There are some people in these threads who would say that I shouldn’t be able to roll on a 402 Rashok’s Molten Heart while already wearing a 420+ Nelth class trinket and 437 OCE, despite the former absolutely mopping the floor with the latter 2 in terms of actual performance.
And yeah, I think it’s real scummy to need items solely to sell/DE. I personally don’t care for transmogs since my main is a cat, but do recognize how that’s an important use case for many.
But despite my own personal feelings on the matter, I fully support others being able to need on items for whatever reason they have within the bounds of Blizzard’s roll limitations. I don’t want other players being able to dictate how I engage with Blizzard’s systems, so I don’t feel I should be able to dictate my own preferences onto others. So while I won’t ever roll need on an item to sell/DE it, I don’t think I should have the right to dictate others shouldn’t.
Understandable, friend. If I told you I’ve never mistook someone, I’d be lying to you.
The only way to make it actually fair, where everyone gets something for their time, is to have bosses drop tokens to everyone, and once you saved up enough, you buy what you want from the raid vendor.
But people seem to like instant gratification, bad luck bummers and all that jazz for some reason.
That’s because those people don’t understand actual performance and just see ilvl. They should also be ignored.
Honestly I don’t think it’s as prevalent as people think.
I have had more people offer me gold for things that I won versus I have seen people selling and I pug a lot.
I won signet brand on heroic on my hunter and immediately had 3 people whisper me asking to buy it
I still haven’t seen one person try to sell stuff in LFR, even with 5-6 toons most weeks. It’s hard to believe that it’s an issue that warrants so many complaints.
There is no reason we can’t have both. Grocery list shopping where every item comes from a vendor with a currency is boring, so I am opposed to that. But being able to earn a currency that over X weeks of not getting a specific item you want as a form of bad luck protection would be welcome, as far as I’m concerned.
Oh for sure. I can only recall three times across no fewer than 100 LFR wings I’ve participated in this season where anyone tried to turn around and sell an item they got. One was a greed roll that unsurprisingly didn’t sell. One resulted in the person being vote kicked faster than anyone I’ve ever seen vote kicked before.
People want to make this out to be an occurrence that happens in every PUG and it simply isn’t. But even if it was, I still would oppose measures to try to prevent people from doing so in the absence of a statement/action from Blizzard. They’re the only ones with any authority in an LFR context.
When they don’t have any actual arguments they find a small occurrence and latch onto it making it appease to be a super massive issue.
lol I will just bring in my 424 alts to roll need on everything and you sir you will have even less chance to get any items I can’t mog such as rings, trinkets rings so therefore you chance of getting loot now is less.
So you’re just gonna ignore the fact that last season a lfr class trinket was better than every mythic level trinket from raid for locks? Ilvl is not the end all be all for items lol
I’m saying put it back to WoD style LFR loot so I have no reason to be there.
If those 480+ players weren’t in your LFR groups the bosses wouldn’t die until you got your historically necessary 10 stacks of determination because LFR players want to tag the boss and let someone else do the work. So sure, remove all incentive for higher geared players to join (like rolling need on stuff that REGARDLESS of item level might be needed, be it trinkets that outperform item level, set bonuses, or even transmog).
So 480+ are only running them to take loot for another. They would not run them to get the same loot from a PL system where they got class drops or not based on there roll not some one else in the raid. sounds about right with players today.
We really needed another one of these threads??? Again???
