I won loot all of the time in LFR personal loot as a “mythic raider” all through Shadowlands. Didn’t stop me then either… I’d get some angry messages about not needing loot blah blah blah, but I’m just there for the transmogs. They have different colors and I spend time killing the boss to collect.
I also DE’d items from personal loot that I didn’t need since every time I tried to see if someone could hook it up w/ a mog from an item they didn’t need, they never let me have it. So really, the people like you are just as bad about not sharing and being rude. We (geared people) owe you nothing.
So one day we were reclearing Heroic Amirsrassil, and our raid lead as a joke, kicked one of our healers out of the group during Larodar, he meant to reinvite back before Larodar died, but the invites weren’t popping up for the healers. Oddly enough, the loot screen popped up for him and he could roll on it, but we did not see his rolls. I don’t know if he rolled what would’ve been the highest on any items he could need on, so it’s hard to say if the game was treating him as eligible or not.
I know how the rules should work. My point is it’s not always the case.
Just happened again, but on my DK. Might have something to do with weapons, or at least the weapons with procs on them. But I can definitely roll Need on this Gholak when I already have one.
I’m very sorry to the people I swipe loot from that actually need it for upgrades in LFR.
I reluctantly roll need on items I don’t have in my wardrobe (that I can add of course) because I believe it’s justified to prove a point on how silly it is to have group loot in LFR in the first place.
Let me remind you people that personal loot was introduced in MoP BECAUSE of how flawed group loot in LFR was. Blizzard have stupidly taken a step back to Dragon Soul days of LFR looting and it’s just as bad. We all know group loot in LFR is a failure and is very unhealthy for the game.
How about we LEARN from our mistakes and just please have LFR be pure personal loot again to keep the majority of players happy.
All I’m saying is that LFR personal loot felt less toxic than group loot. All players had equal opportunity (It felt fairer) whether they be in there for gear upgrades and/or for transmog.
We were in there to work together to kill bosses and hope the game gave us the reward we were gunning for. Now it feels likes we are not only fighting the bosses but fighting each other over the loot because it’s all out in the open instead of in the background.
Dragonflight’s LFR group loot actually screws over transmog collectors and that can ultimately lead to less players in the LFR queue if they felt no point because they couldn’t need on the gear.
Right now if you’re a transmog collector in LFR. You take all the chances you can get to add another transmog to the collection and that unfortunately means rolling need (If the game allows it) to replicate the equal opportunity of LFR personal loot or your chances of winning are slim to none if you actually hit the roll transmog button.
LFR groups just flat out can not be trusted with group loot. It should only be used for Normal+ difficulty.
Feelings don’t change facts. You clearly don’t understand that with PL you have a 1 in 25 chance at loot. In GL it depends on how many of xyz class but it’s automatically better than PL.
PL also has zero protections.
Only if you’re feeling entitled to loot.
You have a better chance at collecting transmog in PL.
There’s nothing to trust. The system is working as intended. And no LFR doesn’t deserve special treatment because people can’t handle loot systems. If you can’t handle loot systems dont do the content
No is not. Literally I have people whisper me non stop when I got a loot. It got the point where I would see if I get any loot off the boss. If I do I don’t loot it and let it mail to me.
Idk. Maybe I wouldn’t feel so bad rolling need for transmog if the transmog button didn’t exist in LFR. The only reason it’s there now is to roll on weapons your class can’t even make use of because of having the wrong primary stats.
its not really necessary, you still have the vault, you still have gear you can use at the catalyst for set pieces.
thats how i managed to gear this character and all of my others pretty much. also killing aurostar every week. i am also helping guildmates do the same and they are gearing up pretty fast with this method.
Maybe it was just me but I hardly ever had that problem. Sure I got some whispers asking me “You need that?” in a polite way and if it was transmog I was missing I would just say “Sorry. Keeping it for transmog.” and most people were cool with it.
I even tried to give away my loot that I didn’t need for upgrades or for transmog by having a /roll off. It was just simple interacting to make sure what people planned to do with their loot if there was any chance of claiming it for upgrades or for transmog.
Eh it’s probably about the same. I just wouldn’t feel like scum in personal loot. I hit need roll in group loot for LFR only to get the transmog farm done faster. Sure I could stop hitting need but then I would not really have a chance to actually win what I want because everyone else is rolling need and at that point I would just not do LFR and thus make LFR queues longer (We seriously need a cross faction LFR queue).
