Retcon Calia, reverse Lightforged nonsense

Well as it stands, there’s like 5 people in this thread alone that are interested in quitting if Calia becomes the new leader.

I’m not exactly convinced people care enough to unsub over a dumb lore change.

:face_vomiting:

I think you guys are overreacting to an unknown character. We don’t even know what she’s going to do.

Like I get being worried, but we literally don’t have much to work with right now.

5 is bigger than 1, right?

People have been complaining about Calia for over a year.

What am I extrapolating?

What do you feel I extrapolated there?

Nice quote mining.

With her first reaction to placing her even remotely close to a forsaken being running around to CONVERT EVERYONE, yeah I’m a bit worried.

Can I ask specifically how a Light created undead is Lore Breaking specifically?

We’ve seen nearly every other foundational magical domain in this universe has the ability to play with the land of the dead; so why not the Light? The Plague of Undeath was created by the Legion (Fel); the Val’kyr and Kvaldir are products of the Titan Keepers (Arcane); the Wisps are a form of undead, with heavy roots in the Life domain. Hell, even the void in WoD was shown to be able to manipulate the Death Domain to some degree.

So … why would it be that LIGHT is arbitrarily the ONLY Magic Domain that cannot influence the DEATH Domain? I don’t find Calia particularly lore breaking, and if her existence has side effects she honestly wont bother me that much (she certainly looks enough like nightmare fuel).

Source on this?

Her teacher is most likely Faol. But is she actually apart of the Firsaken?

Once again. What do you feel I extrapolated?

You said no one quits over lore.

You said people don’t even quit over game mechanics.

You said everyone comes back.

Did I misread any of your direct statements?

If I am wrong, please clarify. I would like to understand your point.

In the book, she runs through the crowd of Sylvanas’ citizens telling them to go to safety and freedom or whatever in the meeting, breaching the diplomacy of the situation.

Your logical conclusion from my doubt that few people will quit over lore is that I don’t believe that people quit this game.

You’re such a meme lol

You’re trying to construct a logical argument but you’re doing it so haphazardly dumb that you end up creating non-sequitur conclusions.

Irreverent to her current state imo because we’ve seen Undeath change individuals train of thought completely. Aka risen Night Elves.

Where is your source that the Calia coming into the game is actively converting Forsaken? Is it in the PTR, is she making her own society of Undead?

We don’t know anything.

You said “no one”.

I am sorry that I mistook “no one” for “not many”.

I have a weird thing about words. Where I assume they mean what they are supposed to mean.

Is it too early to call Calia Christie Golden’s self-insert yet or do we have to wait until she’s in a few cinematics and 1v1s a demi-god tier character?

You aren’t supposed to mention Alliance based self inserts. Only Horde ones.

Its an Alliance-Victimization-Horde-Bias GD Forum rule.

It’s okay.

If you lack the basic ability to determine context from sentences then we shouldn’t continue this because creating an argument requires that you understand how to parse what people are saying.

Oh good lord

So it’s just a coincidence that the first pure, light forged undead ever, who used to be an heir of Lordaeron, decided to waltz to the Forsaken-living family meeting, and try to convert them. So based on that, we don’t know anything? We don’t know her character’s purpose? She is physically and mentally a direct insult to Forsaken, and meant to be written that way.

He’s not wrong…
