Lorebreaking, eye breaking. You put this in the game, it conflicts with your lore. That’s just what it is.
Even if following the rule of cool, an old hierarchy coming in to steal forsaken is trash writing.
Forsaken don’t need “redemption”. Imagine if you rolled a forsaken years before, and now present day, you’re going to get showed up by some light-forged queen? Ridiculous, takes away too much and makes it seem like the Forsaken are these lost puppies when they crafted and executed their purpose.
I think it’s fine. The reason it conflicts is because undead have their souls imperfectly attached with shadow magic. Opposites negate each other.
But in this case there was no shadow involved. The Light brought back her soul to her body, but it wasn’t true resurrection. It’s the same idea as normal undead, just with different magic. I think we just don’t know enough about it yet, it’s something new.
I agree. If Calia turns up as the new leader of the Forsaken as a lightforged undead, i think i will be unsubscribing permanently. I understand if Sylvanas steps down as Warchief but if she is killed and/or Calia turns into the new leader for the undead then i am out for good. I hope Blizzard reads all of this. I dont trash the game because of changes they made but or new things but taking everything from the Undead ( which I main) will give me no reason to play anymore. The Forsaken/Sylvanas are apart of the Horde and I hope it stays that way. I’ve played since Wrath, I would hate to see all this go down the drain. I love Wow and i love how the Forsaken are apart of the Horde with Sylvanas.

This begs the question, it really does: WHY would they be undead if Lightforged souls aren’t imperfectly attached with shadow magic? This is just a fancy resurrection.
They indeed have taken too much from the Forsaken, like they did with orcs and the Kor’kron. Too much demonizing. I understand they were already morally grey, but it’s such a low blow to take something morally grey and twist it into the antagonist with no excuse to stay loyal to something other than the death of the other faction. At least they gave orcs Nazgrim to show the innocent side of loyalty.
Oh trust me, plenty of people will. A lot of people hate Sylvanas but a lot of people still love her. I would hate to say goodbye to an amazing game but i’d be done permanently.
I couldn’t think of a worse leader to take over the Forssken.
Someone who clearly doesn’t care about the Forsaken. Someone who isn’t a Forsaken, and can not relate to the Forsaken. Someone who is indebted to the Alliance.
So to be fair, I understand why the Alliance wants her in a leadership position. They want as many Alliance characters as possible in charge of the Horde.
Those undead, with free will, are basically the people they were when they died. They aren’t suddenly evil and opposed to the light simply because they’re undead.
What? Who cares what people are asking to be playable? People have asked for everything from murlocs to quillboar to ogres to be playable…doesn’t mean it’s going to happen.
If you had no problem with a literal dreadlord being lightforged (and the general of that army, no less), then having an undead human being cleansed/brought back by the light seems a strange hill to die on…
