Light reinvigorates, not decays. Whatever positive action the Light can do to a corpse, it should make it alive and blood flowing again, not an actual zombie.

she wanted to see what had become of her home, she even tried to hide. not saying what she did was correct, but there were two wrongs made that day.
As Calia Menethil saw this unfold, she revealed her true identity and took it upon herself to try to convince the other Forsaken on the field to join the Alliance
technically half true.
but also half wrong.
Look at the DK chain to raise the 44th horsement.
Morgraine was blasted by the Light…and it WRECKED him.
Which seems silly. Anduin has brought someone completely back to life before.
You’re right that it can be used offensively, but my context is the situation in where they raise a corpse, which, in the story:
Calia’s corpse was later sent back to Netherlight Temple but miraculously did not decompose
Following this logic, how in the world is she undead at all?
And I get that.
I am saying I am tired of members of the Horde constantly defecting to the Alliance in various formats. And never seeing it the other way around.
Completely agree.
I agree with you here, Warlords of Draenor is a travesty … Lorewise.
i agree on this bit as the msot light can (has) done is heal the living not revived a corpse. (if this was possible sylvanas wouldnt need the val’kyr to raise mroe forsaken.)
love how to take bits and pieces, why did she reveal herself?
because some of the forsaken wanted to go with their families
but thanks for taking stuff out of context to fit your argument.
The forsaken are pretty much the scourge at this point. Hopefully Calia redeems them.
Out goes Sylvanas and in comes Calia.
Huzzah.
Calia is a massive wasted opportunity. She could’ve been an interesting character and added a lot to the Alliance. Instead they’ve decided to go down the lorelol lightforged aberration route.
Pretty disgusting, all things considered. I was hoping she’d simply be forgotten about.
I don’t want to see Calia ruling the Forsaken, but I have no problem with her being Lightforged.
I’m pretty sure we don’t know everything about how magic works in this universe, so if Blizzard says it’s possible then I don’t an issue with it. She wasn’t brought back by a priest - she was brought back the living embodiment of the Light, a Naaru.
Can Calia attempt to redeem herself first? She just shows up after abandoning her people and expect them to follow. She is a horrible leader that has no business attempting to place herself up as a dictator of a people she clearly does not care about.
Ok look, something doesn’t seem to be connecting here so I’ll help ya out.
Shadow is the opposite of Light, not Death.
You’re taking issue with 2 different things and mixing them into 1.
She died. Straight up. That’s where Death comes in. Now in the cases of the Scourge/Forsaken, Shadow magic was used to make them Undead. Which is why there is a negative reaction to the Light. In Calia’s case to make her Undead Light magic was used. Therefore, no negative reaction to Light.
If you still can’t accept it then you’re just arguing for the sake of arguing.
Yes, yes, Calia will become queen…
And then they can bring Arthas back. That would be fun. World of Warcraft: Sibling Rivalry!
(No, I’m not serious. They had better not bring back Arthas. Doesn’t anyone get to stay dead in this game?)
Replace “after BfA” to “since Burning Crusade” and you’re spot on.
Speaking of which, why is it such a stretch to go from having forsaken that channel the holy light to ones that are lightforged as well?
Also if the void can’t corrupt undead it’s not that much of a stretch that the light would want undead permanently on its side via lightforging.
I didn’t even think of this. They really did just kill her needlessly just to force her into where she doesn’t belong, and in the same book. Alonsus says to anduin when she dies: “If I had even the slightest idea…” meaning he wouldn’t have brought her if he knew she was in danger. Like, really? You of all people didn’t expect drama like this to happen? So even then, her death too was forced, just to make her “undead”. More sacrificing existing character integrity for a writer to force something that clearly doesn’t belong
The book stated she didn’t even decompose. What makes her undead? The light heals. It doesn’t decay people when attempting to revive someone. If your theory is correct, no damage should happen at all, and she should be living and breathing, with non-pale skin.
