Retcon Calia, reverse Lightforged nonsense

depends on what you mean by redemption.

Some would likely want to be with their living friends/family.

Some also are fine being the way they are becasue they felt betrayed or indebted to sylvanas.

this is lore followign thoguh?

HE with gold eyes was a thing.

and BE are literally name changed HE’s.

according to lore they have lost their green eyes following the purification of Sunwell. (green was becasue they fed on fel magic)

Pally in the 4 horsemen.

its been a thing since vanilla.

even Forsaken can use Light magic (see their priests). Sure usually its bad, but it isnt ALWAYS bad. (if it was varian or anduin would of led the priest/pally forces to wipe out the undead ages ago)

best part of that bit was the aged Gromm…dude looked and was awesome.

This would be a new low point for writing team if it happened.

SYlvanas is everything to him (as to him she saved him from being mindless undead and gave him purpose again and thats after him serving under her during his time in Silvermoon)

Honestly I think he is backstabbing her. All this “play along” nonsense us loyalists have had to put up with, I think he’s gradually starting to turn on her. I mean, I hope he doesn’t, but if it means that it’s a way for us to keep Nathanos and keep Calia as far away from the Forsaken as possible…I’m all for it.

Nathanos is really the only thing standing between Calia’s chances of becoming the new Forsaken leader aside from Sylvanas, who i’m assuming will be on the run or mia post-BFA.

Well … we’ll see. She is liable to betray both him the Forsaken in some pretty fundamental way going forward (I have no doubt about that at least), its the outcome and fallout of that event that remains to be seen. However, with his functional use in BfA … I do think Nate is the most likely replacement for her (and I can only see him even slightly getting accepted in that position if he gains some level of individuality outside of her).

It was stated that Nate is the only one she gave access to at least MORE of her intentions and plans (not all of them, but more); and Sylvie’s never been either open, or the type to monologue. He may be our window into her psyche if he does survive her betrayal of the Forsaken.

I guess I just don’t care about more reasons that the Horde goes over to the Alliance…while never seeing the Alliance go over to the Horde.

I don’t care if there are legit reasons the Forsaken would embrace joining the Alliance. I care that this embracing only ever goes one way.

ah yes, bible-humping zombies. gg blizz.

but it is onlyway that makes sense.

forsaken are (mostly) dead humans who in past tried going home (but were atatcked for being undead) some would likely still have desire for that.

and no ally race would be accepted by the horde (cept maybe humans and cows cuz baine and boy king are bffs but thats just them not their races)

I always said if Horde got rid of Goblins I would join them as a horde Gnome v_v

Always preferred Horde NPC leaders than Alliance ones.

Are we even allowed to have new racial leaders be male these days? Mag’har with Geya’rah, Highmountain with Mayla Highmountain, Zandalari with Talanji, Nightborne with Thalyssra, Kul Tirans with Jaina Proudmoore, Void Elves with Alleria, Dark Iron with Moira, Fareeya for Lightforged Draenei (Turalyon is a human so not the actual racial leader).

Every new faction has a female leader. And the only males that get top positions these days are of the Baine/Anduin cut. Orcs and Darkspear don’t have that sort of male candidate, nor do they have an appropriately positioned female candidate, so they don’t get leaders at all. Unless you count Saurfang, which is controversial at best in the Horde.

Basically, Nathanos doesn’t stand a chance of being the leader of the Forsaken. It will be a female or someone like Baine or Anduin. If Sylvanas goes down, Nathanos goes down with her.

i wonder how cannibalize is going to happen, do they lick icecream instead?

At this point I don’t care if it makes sense.

I am tired of the Horde always being the one to go to the Alliance.

Its one way, horrible writing.

If the Humans, that have tried to eradicate the Forsaken since their inception can suddenly be fine with Forsaken, the Horde can be written to accept Alliance people who act more…Horde-Like.

I would rather neither happen, though.

Too bad they either die, go crazy, or…go over to the Alliance.

If this ever happens, let an estranged Alterac noble wander our way.

Well, Rokhan is finally getting setup as the Darkspear replacement by all indications. I would not be shocked with how they’re writing Gazlowe that he’ll replace Gallywix soon as the head of the Cartel. And with the Nate’s functional use I would not be shocked to find that he ends up as head of the Forsaken (and good thing too, because all three of them have AMAZING VAs). As for Saurfang … just let the guy remain the head of the Durotar Orcs and be done with it.

On the other hand, Mayla, Geya’rah, Talaanji, Alleria, Moira, Jaina, Fareeya, and Thalyssra … yeah I’m getting a Theme. Hell, if it turns out to be the Kelfin instead of the Vulpera for the Gob AR (not out of the realm of possibilities) we’ll be ending up with Neri to that list (though, tbh, she has more personality than most of them … so I’d be OK with it; especially with her bringing Sea Giants and Deapsea Makrura into the Horde … which would totally be worth it). :stuck_out_tongue:

Light conflicts with Shadow. Current Forsaken and Scourge were raised using Shadow magic. That’s why the Light conflicts with them. Her being raised by the Light makes her a different kind of Undead.

Nothing lore breaking about it.

Her being raised by the Light should make her not undead at all.

but that was what the book was about, them bringing families back together to see their undead relatives and open new doors, and it was working but Sylvanas slammed it shut by killing all the undead in attendance and Calia.

The story is complete an utter garbage after BfA anyways, so who even cares about lore at this point, they’ve already passed the point of no return, there is no redemption for the WoW story from this point on, so they might as well just do whatever the hell they want regardless of how stupid it might sound.

this can be said about BFA as a whole…
story was a copy/paste of Mists until 8.1 (and it could still end up going mists route after)

mhmm

WC mantle = death sentence. Only Thrall seems immune to the curse.

Even Anduin and Faol knows that it was Calia’s fault.
