Tbh even with a lack of Tanks or Healers RDF kinda works great.
Somehow a 30 minute queue? Go herb, go craft, go wpvp, go do your Wintergrasp Dailies, go play the Auction House, go fish.
It’s like the Vanilla Horde queues. While Alliance kept getting instant queues for BGs, Horde were out in the world playing the game while a queue set them up
As opposed to my situation now? I can’t run dungeons at all as is.
Also, I waited 3 hours a few times for AV queues during classic. I am a horde that reveled in the long queue times.

As for why RDF works? There are always tanks. They Q, you get in line to be with them. I’ve never had a RDF NOT find a tank and healer. Like… ever.
Everybody in game can join the Q, maybe a few dozen have your stupid addon.
Now why didn’t I think of that!!??
I retract my position on LFD. I no longer need or care for it.

I don’t think you do in the same capacity. Sure, there’s time you have while the group is forming, but largely groups want you heading to the stone ASAP to summon people as they join a group.
The person not going to help summon kinda is just seen as a self centered jerk
You know? I can’t answer that because every single time I’ve entered a Queue since the year 2010 I got one. So I don’t know because it’s never happened.
I agree. But that’s where it’s just an unnecessary convenience. RDF doesn’t solve anything, it just caters to casual play. And what happens in RDF if your queue pops early?

Even if you have 100% grouping guarantee (which is true with BB given enough time too), RDF doesn’t guarantee completion of the dungeon.
“Forced” would be taking the free transfer they gave me.
It is when you get me as a healer.
What’s your point? Any time you enter any dungeon under any circumstances you don’t have that guarantee. You keep spouting out that 100% line when nobody has said anything like that but you.
So you don’t need RDF to complete a dungeon. Thank you.
But I do need people to join it in the first place.
