I think it solves many issues, the problem with RFD is possibility of what it’s taking away from the game and weighing the pros and cons. The issue it solves are:
Certain Heroics never being run
Certain Heroics always being run because they’re fastest
New Players not even understanding where a dungeon is (Not a level 80 issue obviously)
Dungeons not being in a reasonable range to ever consider walking to with a group (Leveling issue)
Undesired specs having equal opportunity to get their Heroics in (Hunter/Warlock kinda suck at dungeons, Warlock is fine until people are geared and mobs don’t stay up long)
Encourages more open world activity during the queue
Respectful to people with tighter schedules
The last one I think could be a bit touchy, as Vanilla wasn’t respectful to our schedules and we didn’t change the game for it. But here’s my take:
Wotlk is not what Vanilla is, and it does not have to be. Vanilla and Wrath don’t need to be changed to be like eachother.
Done with you. Your logic is flawed, you keep moving the goalposts, and you are arguing random things. I keep waiting for the hammer to fall, but you can keep this up all day I suppose.
Well, that is easy. WoW Token. Why put all of that back into the game when they can instead have it go on the black market auction house and sell it for gold cap. Same reason why the long boi was taken out of the game.
As for the topic of conversation. Wrath without RDF looks like this.
Month 1: Fine everyone still needs dungeons so there are no issues.
Month 2: Half the player base no longer does dungeons.
Month 4: You now have to spend at least 30 minutes to find a dungeon even on mega realms.
Month 6: Finding a tank will now take you an hour unless you pay them.
Month 7: Now the healers want gold as well.
i liked the way wrath dk’s played and the easy content lets me be full top raid gear without having to do mythic raiding constantly and learn things. I also missed some of it due to school out of the country so I would like to try it out. retail im waiting for dragonflight as it also looks cool.
Longer waits happen on non calling dungeons and not using whatever pops random option.
But it ain’t 3 hours. 3 hours can be LFR for older raids. which is because most at this point could not give a rat’s butt about CN runs. But lets keep this LFD, since we can reserve lfr rant threads for 1.5 years from now for cata-C.
I hopped on the outlaw rogue. I wanted to try a new lego out. She never ran spires to get it before. Odd that, but whatever. maybe 30 minutes tops for the wait.
Spires had the memory. LOnger wait as its not a fast dungeon. Unless you get bad luck necrotic wake is waaaaaaay faster if you need a bastion dungeon for a say calling clear.
Only players make NW long. boss 3 hook mechanic, boss 4 ice storm phases. all do this well…NW is in and out quick. 4 boss nukes with skilled mobs skips…speed runs happen.
Spires is platform, mob packs grind. repeat new platform…repeat…repeat. then davos. she will make you need 2-3 spearings.
one run I crap you not she was so loaded with dots she landed after spear run 3 to land…and die. that spear mechanic is jsut a time padder. That showed that. as she was basically dead before she took off. the game was trolling us.
No offence, but if they wanted to play Classic, they’d be here. If they’re playing Retail still, they want to be there.
The whole narrative of “Retail players just don’t know what they’re missing” is nonsense, because all the people who like the Classic style quit retail long ago, and the people who like Retail are the ones who’ve evolved with, or been born into, that lobby style.
Different games for different audiences. Some people can shift between the two, but they’re also usually the people who play lots of different games.
Also, as a Classic Classic player, I was still looking forward to LFD in Wrath, because it does bring a whole host of benefits that make the Wrath experience better and more enjoyable.
They just needed to remove the cross-realm aspect.
This was discussed at one point, and apparently the change to the landscape in Kalimdor and EK is so significant that it wasn’t possible, and with the changes to levelling since they did the level crunch, it’s outright impossible without retooling a ton of quests.
“If you point out the problems in my post, I’ll claim ‘I never said that’ and then if you point out that English is a language that has certain conventions, I’ll call you stupid to cover my own inadequacies.”
You deal with a lot of responses, and a lot are stupid. I’m respectful to a lot of opinions, but we’re on the WoW forums. I know your type, I don’t have a need to respect your opinion
