Ret is my main alt and the only other character I seriously play aside from my feral main, if it wasn’t for the fact I just want to run around saving the world as a cat I’d main ret, the 30 second CDs for everything makes it feel so good in all content.
Soon brother. Soon.
This 1000x
I like rogue. I play rogue.
Paladins smell funny
Every spec you mentioned after Ret is inferior and struggling. It’s kind of disgusting how much utility + damage Retribution brings to the table. Why take a Fury Warrior ever over a Ret Pala? Havoc is trash. Devoker is D-
As someone who prefers fury war to ret pally I agree, buff Fury Warrior.
Destruction warlock is sort of like that too lol. I’m enjoying this character a lot. If anybody hasn’t tried it and enjoys a simple class with fun utility things then i recommend it. It’s quite tanky too.
You just gotta play what you like, even if it’s popular (or unpopular). I’ve been playing a Paladin in WoW since before we even had talents. I’ve played though “LOLRet” and been the “#1 Retribution Paladin” on the server, simply because I was pretty much the only Retribution Paladin on the server. I’ve played though many different changes in playstyle and talents, and I’m still here. I’ll stop playing a Paladin in WoW when I stop playing WoW.
I miss the playstyle of DF season 2 and 4. But I still love my Fury Warrior.
Destro is just a better version of Fire Mage.
Their fire is Green, and therefore better by default.
i could never get into Fire Mage, Arcane is the one that appeals to me most, in terms of Mages
My top 3 favs, I think, are Paladin, Dev Evoker, Warlock.
You can put them in any order you want.
Paladin, I’ve already described.
Warlock has really cool spell effects and three equally fun/cool but entirely different in playstyle specs. imo.
Dev Evoker is both a Dragon and “I’MA FIRIN MAH LAZER”, the Class. double cool. Deep Breath makes it triple cool. regardless of the numbers. Soar = quadruple cool.
They are just so good at the moment. Best tank, great DPS and solid healing.
The only class I have never played at max level is monk and I leveled one to 70 today before I took a break so that’s changing tomorrow. Yes, compared to a lot of classes/specs ret is kind of easy mode I’ll admit it. I’ve also mained ret since Wrath when I started playing the game so my muscle memory with the playstyle is crazy. It’s not the only class or spec that is like that though. There are a lot of specs that are easy to pick up and be pretty decent at. Frost DK, fury warrior, Havoc DH, Balance druid, devastation evoker and I’m sure there are others. Paladin has always been popular even when they are harder to play or when they are weak. Paladin lore is popular and people really like that.
They were talking about the ease of the rotations. But you do have a point. I wish we went back to where it was more beneficial to have more classes/specs represented because of passives/buffs. Wrath was peak of that in my opinion when even your race mattered. I still remember raid leaders making sure every single group in raid had a draenei so you could get less gear with hit to maximize dps.
Ret is fun in Delves, big toolkit.
My fav class/spec for them so far, but Prot Pally not that far behind tbh.
Don’t care.
You’re in a thread about Ret Paladins.
So not only did you read the title, you came in here and posted in it.
But you don’t care.
Alrighty then.
I played a lot of pvp with my ret, well before the revamp, so that kinda stuff is just second nature.
That would make my day. I personally hate melee holy with a passion.
I missed healing so much tho I decided to look past my hate for it and only tolerate it now to do some keys with friends.
It’s in a really solid spot.
I play Prot but I definitely enjoy Ret as an off spec.
