I keep reading “evidence in this google drive”, but after clicking through some of it, all i’m seeing is random twitter nonsense that doesn’t seem like anything. I’m not taking sides either way, but I’d like to know if evidence of his wrongdoing exist.

“Better” is subjective as I think the old is better. They have more pressing issues to address with this game and they choose to mismanage resources to redo something nobody asked for.

From his twitter, it sounded like it actually went to court and he was found innocent.

I suspect that they wont.
Admitting that you made a mistake in this sort of instance is really hard. Whether as an individual, or as a company.
And if there’s anything left that they can use to say “he may be innocent of illegal activities, but he’s still a jerk,” they will use it to avoid uncanceling.

Yes, it’s just “mob justice” where someone can just post unproven allegations on social media and get a mob of raving followers to make a bunch of noise and scare employers into firing someone because they are scared of the bad publicity.

Getting a TRO due to crazy behavior from others is not the same as you being innocent of those things you have been accused of.
Neither is an accusation a conviction. I had not looked at this situation as I had not even realized it was bubbling along.
If she fabricated that audio and the other charges against him, and I’m neither saying she did or did not, a lawsuit for defamation to prove that fact is how you get your innocence established. Yes it sucks for you if you have been accused falsely. Nevertheless due to the long standing and blatant misconduct of society in handling these matters the only path to redemption is a legal one.
I sympathize with him for the troubles he has. I hope, for his sake, that they are in fact false. We are all captains on our own ships and must take the ocean and the weather as it comes. Sometimes it’s fair winds and following seas. Sometimes it’s hurricanes and rogue waves. Neither is within our control, only the way we navigate them.

The problem is cancel culture will target you for things that you said 10, 15 or even 20 years ago which, at the time were acceptable but now would be considered “problematic”
It does not matter if you have apologized for things you said in the past you are still damned for saying it regardless…
I do not and will not support the idea of people losing their jobs / careers over an ACCUSATION… alone… because shock horror… people LIE…
The only amusing thing about cancel culture is that once they run out of people to cancel they will inevitably turn on themselves and start cancelling themselves…

The problem is, people are treating someone being ACCUSED of something as them automatically being guilty of said accusation before any investigation or proof has been submitted.
That is just flat out wrong…

I mean… if they made that statement and were transparent about it? then sure I guess? but given the fact that the original VA was ACCUSED and all of a sudden they are “re-casting the character”

FYI, there was no criminal proceeding as of this time from what I can find.
He is as “innocent” as he was “guilty” currently.
An order of protection is not really proof of anything except that this woman went too far in her pursuit of this guy.
For all we know she did this in a misguided attempt to get justice, or she might just be mentally unstable and fixated on him.
All this thread did was jump to conclusions based on, of all things, a tweet.
