Sunwell seems to have about a perfect blend of difficulty. Bad guilds can’t get past some boss fights, even with countless guides, videos, strategies telling them what to do.
You could argue that it’s too tough for casuals. It probably is. This mode would be Heroic. Nerfed sunwell would be a Normal mode, so the Dad’s can get a kill
People are already begging for Sunwell nerfs though. This isn’t 2008 – a lot of the player base not only feels entitled to killing the last boss, but entitled to killing the last boss on the hardest difficulty.

What you misunderstand is that is simply not good enough. Players nowadays, even those in casual guilds, feel entitled to clearing not only the hardest content, but the best rewards.
Any content in Classic that presents any sort of challenge at all is met with overwhelming demands for nerfs.
Just some of the many threads made asking for nerfs to content. So, my main point is, the Classic community overwhelmingly doesn’t care for difficult content. They want all content to be beatable through mediocre play, including heroic versions of raids.
Casual players squealing about nerfing content. The sun also rises in the East. Instead of these posts, they could just complete the raid the first time… on Normal mode.
