Request: Bring Back GDKP for Phase 3 (4 now)

Yes, I am in fact, aware of how GDKPs work. Gold for raid gear isn’t the intended way to earn gear or it would be BoE or on a vendor behind rep.

Again, gold is not the reward for raiding.

So is there no reward for raiding this tier? Less gear per week than gnomer lockouts and the quality of the gear is trash.

Gear still drops doesn’t it? They explained the amount of loot is the intended amount of loot. Gear quality is typically pretty bad in comparison to later expansions of WoW regardless. Vendorstrike being a literal meme item since it was introduced originally.

So many people got hooked on the RMT inflated pots in GDKP’s. Like crack.

Look at how they beg, plead, and lie.

Time to stop sucking on that udder, and realize you were part of the problem.

The only “problem” is losers trying to dictate how others play the game

If you think the devs are losers why are you still paying them? They made the ultimate choice here, not players.

They prefer to deflect instead of answer the questions. They are looking at their bank statement scratching themselves like, “let me buy some gear.”

What’s stopping me from hiring a tank for 500g?

Maybe it’s best if you don’t force your ideas onto other players and telling others how they can or can’t spend their gold, or whether or not they can reward fellow raiders for their services with gold.

As long as it isn’t against the ToS, nothing.

I am not forcing anything on anyone. It isn’t my lone decision to make. You go from me trying to speak for Blizzard to me speaking for all anti-GDKPers. What next?

Again, the majority of players do not want GDKP in SoD. Maybe you should accept this fact and move on, that might save us more time.

nothing more entitled than complaining about a loot system that you have no intention of ever joining and has no impact on your life until the developers ban it due to your nonstop yapping because you are a control freak who wants everyone to play the game the same way as you

This is akin to saying “The people of New York City have spoken. Look around and see everyone paying extremely high rent. It’s clear that high rent payments are super duper popular!”

Bots dropped off on my server. You would still see the occasional bot but they were nearly non existent. Banning gdkps worked.

The majority of players are not the lunatics spamming reddit/the forums/ aggrend’s twitter crying about GDKPs. You are 100% a VERY VERY VERY loud and annoying minority.

The 30 day restrictions worked.

It worked so well that now botters are attempting to phish accounts older than 30 days to fill their ranks.

Not sarcasm btw. The 30 day restriction seems to have been the most effective anti-bot measure so far.

Where did this come from? When did I say you speak for all Anti-GDKPers?

You are acting as if I have some kind of super power to force people into whatever loot system I want. I don’t. I am not telling anyone how they should or shouldn’t play. I am telling you that the current rules align with my position. There was no official stance on GDKP prior to SoD, but now there is. Which is that they are banned.

I didn’t tell you that you can’t spend gold in a raid, BLIZZARD DID.

If it’s about the where shouldn’t the AH be turned off?

Not sure if you’ve seen the running price on some items currently.

Because there exist a system that easily does this? Why should this type of raid not exist because of actions others commit?

I understand that GDKPs are great ways to launder illegally purchased gold, but not nearly as awesome as the AH is in comparison.

The AH already has the 1 hour restriction in place to catch illicit gold. Clearly not perfect, but there are things in place. Not to mention the 30-day restriction makes it insanely less possible for bots to be profitable since they need to wait a month to unload all their items which gives Blizzard time to catch these people.

There are plenty of ways in the game to make gold that doesn’t involve GDKP. Incursions are fairly lucrative for example. Granted, Blizzard messed that up with the initial release of them, but that seems to kind of be the norm from Blizzard in SoD. Stumble across the finish line.

You kind of skirted around my questions…

Other than an 1 hour wait and small AH fee, what separates someone from taking gold in a GDKP understanding it may or may not have been acquired legally, versus selling a high ticket item on the AH?

Yes you can make good gold in GDKPs if the right loot drops. You can also make good gold in normal farms should the right loot drop.
