Request: Bring Back GDKP for Phase 3 (4 now)

How do you know why they’re not responding? Do you know how far into this testing phase we are? Are you a Blizzard Representative? If not, please be respectful to Blizzard. They don’t need you to speak up for them.

I found myself with very little motivation to raid once geared

Your motivation after you’re uber geared is to help get your friends/guildmates gear as well. Unless of course you’re selfish and only think of yourself?

the camaraderie of my old GDKP runs.

This is a good top tier level joke. “Camaraderie” hahahaha This is hilarious given how selfish you come off earlier in this post about not being “motivated” after you yourself are done being geared.

I would appreciate a chance to run these again in P3

NO. Please go away with your dumb posts like this. GDKP were a pestilence on SoD and we’re all better off that they’re gone. Any gold/price weirdness currently is due to the influx of gold from that first weekend of P3 Nightmare Incursions. Here’s hoping that flattens out in another couple weeks of people blowing the gold on NPC goldsinks etc.

My friends and guildmates would be geared too, why would you assume they’re not? Is this not how regular runs work? Is this some kind of troll post?

Why do you all say this name like a threat?

it’s funny how the community’s most hated loot system is also the only one where there’s rewards for playing well (potential for higher cut) and consequences for playing badly (potential for no cut), has it occured to you to not join a run where there could be consequences to playing poorly and being too poor to bid on any items?

I always find this argument hilarious. Trying to feel like they are on some kinda moral high ground telling others what their motivations should be or else they are a bad bad person.

Please bring back GDKPs

Well, it’s pretty obvious when they haven’t made a mention of it at all since before P3 was announced and now the start of P3. So pretty sure, we can safely say they are satisfied with the current trajectory. Maybe you should get on board too.

While I am not a Blizz rep, and I can’t speak for them, silence speaks a thousand words.

You are not a Blizzard Rep. Your words and assumptions mean nothing.

Neither do yours. They again, are in no way obligated to answer your question and the entitlement is just obscene. It’s a game bro, go take your wallet elsewhere if you can’t live without whaling all that gold for gear. There are plenty of p2win games out there.

I’m not speaking for Blizzard. Are you posting just to up your post count?

My post count doesn’t matter. Not sure why that even has anything to do with anything? I am also not speaking for Blizzard, never said I was. I am telling you that you can make a pretty good inference based on the communication, or lack thereof, to you and your GDKP buddy’s whining. The majority do not want GDKPs in SoD. You can go GDKP in several other versions of the game if it’s that important to you.

Your posts speak for itself.

Feel free to add to the discussion if you wish, but that would require you to rewrite all your posts without the assumptions you’ve made.

Otherwise, why are you trying to silence a discussion about an on-going experimental test?

Saying “bring back GDKP” is not a discussion. The few flimsy reasons why it should be brought back is exactly why it was removed (as well as the new 30-day restrictions).

Blizzard will respond on the matter when they have more to add. As they always have done. However, we can again see by the majority of posts here and everywhere that GDKP is mentioned on these forums that people do not want them back.

I do not need to rephrase or rewrite anything. I have added to the discussion and at this point, you are just bumping it with bogus responses that are the same thing repeatedly.

Blizzard will respond on the matter when they have more to add. As they always have done.

You really need to stop trying to speak up for Blizzard.

… maybe I really am repeating the same things.

Either way, let them respond. You don’t need to keep posting about why they’re not.

What’s wrong with joining a raid that guarantees a net positive for all raiders regardless of drops?

It’s not that the idea of being rewarded for raiding is bad, it’s where that reward comes from. Which is why they were removed in the first place and again why the 30-day restriction was added.

I am also of the sentiment that, while it can be a bummer, you don’t need to get an item or anything from raiding every single time. You should be able to congratulate your friends/guild members when they do get something.

The question the GDKPers should be asked is why are you so entitled to have something from every raid? Up until they added personal loot and the ability to re-roll with an item cost, you weren’t always going to get gear or items.

Why the assumption of entitlement? Why the loaded question?

There’s no entitlement in wanting to use a loot system where the rewards are distributed more fairly.

Is entitlement the new misused Anti-GDKP lingo?

Gold is not the reward for raiding. The gear is. Again, you can play retail where they literally have a mechanic to give you free gear every week. Classic is far less liberal with the loot.

Nice avoiding the question though. Feel free to rephrase it however you want, but the point is mute when you claim gold is the reward when it is not.

I’m going to spend that gold on gear.

Do you not know how GDKPs work?
