It affects the community and economy. It’s not a matter of if I want to do it or not. I don’t want it on these servers at all.

bots affect these things a whole lot more than gdkp does, funny how blizzard can’t just ban bots but ok

I have a suggestion for you, go to retail, you’ll love it. Banning GDKP was the single best policy Blizzard has introduced to the game in a long time.

of all the poor decisions blizz has made in SOD like dual spec, incursions, killing Chaos Bolt, rogue, shaman, lock tanks, killing GDKP was a good decision all we need to do now is kill world summons and mage portals and illicit gold would all but be banished besides a few farm bots but they’re easy to detect now.
blizzard has explained why banning bots is hard. can you please explain the magic solution that you have to stop botting. we all want to know what it is. please make a post in the customer service forum explaining the solution to botting and link it here so we may observe the discussion. until that happens close your mouth.
User Behavior Analysis. Its simple stuff for major games to analyze inputs for patterns and ban those accounts. They have the solution; its simple. It’s just not a financially sound decision to ban paying accounts, including bots, so they don’t. Its easier to periodically make meaningful, partially related changes to the game rules to create the appearance that something is being done, without actually hurting subs. (i.e. governing loot systems and banning AH use for honest players)
The “BlizZard is LyINg!!1” line you are spouting is utter non sense. Official blizzard posters have been on the forums stating they spend WAY more trying to remove bots than they make off them. They have an entire team of people dedicated to doing so.
You think blizzards team has not investigated “User Behavior Analysis”. This was like 10 years ago bud or more. There is a reason blizzard just cant ban every character than pushes the same 10 buttons in the same order all the time. TONS of players do that very thing.
Simply put, GDKPers like yourself do not want the problem solved. You want to continue to benefit from cheaters or directly cheat yourself. For all of p2, the GDKP crowd said “oMg tHey wAnT bots for tHe sUb MOney.” In fact in this very post you say this, THEN contradict yourself entirely by say blizzard is hurting new players because blizzard has implemented a STRONG 30 day wait on transactions that has DRASTICALLY cut botting levels to near ALL TIME LOWS.
You are the problem with RMT Jef and other GDKP’er RMTs just like. YOU are the reason blizzard has trouble with bots. People that refuse to take no for an answer when they are told RMT isnt part of the game. Legit players dont want cheating in SoD. GDKP’ers are proven cheaters TIME and TIME again. Move on from GDKP or move on from SoD.

No little Moony, the reason people repeat points is because children have trouble understanding when adults tell them the facts. GDKP’s are a haven for illicit activity. That means cheating. We know this because the lead developer has told us. GDKP are banned bc of this. That means you and the other gdkp children couldnt play GDKP without cheating so they are now banned. They are not coming back because they are directly tied to the bot problem that people want solved. You are the problem Moony and people that want to cheat via gdkp just like you. Now go back to your room moony. GDKPs are still banned because they couldnt be done without the gdkpers cheating moony. youre still grounded moony. gdkp’s still banned.
Then you should accept the idea that the experiment is still happening. There is no response because it is till in it’s testing phase. If they deem it a success, I would imagine that all forms of WoW will ban GDKP or at least all seasonal content like we’re doing. They don’t owe you or anyone an answer on their plans.
My prediction is that at the end of SoD, they announce that all future Seasons will be GDKP free, as it should be.

Sadly, best to give up on this bro. SoD is filled with retail players who will eventually convince the devs that “Personal loot” is the correct path to go soon. They want retail but refuse to play retail. I expect SoD to get transmog/toy box/pet battles within a year.

With Blizzards new ban of new accounts using ah and whatnot it only makes sense for them to rollback the policy banning gdkps. The reason being that the policy failed in all of its states goals (and no stopping Gdkps for the sake of banning gdkps is not a reason. You don’t ban something in a game without a valid objective or goal you are trying to accomplish. Such as curtail botting or whatnot. When a policy is found to be ineffective you rescind the policy)
