And you choose to ignore one of the only factual data points we have by saying the overwhelming majority support your viewpoint. If that were true then GDKP wouldnât dominate every version of classic wow. You ignore it because youâre clinging to the idea that sod is somehow different and hoping the nanny state gdkp ban remains.
Then maybe other loot systems should be better.
On one hand, I can go into a raid where I need maybe a couple of items that arenât huge upgrades but would be nice to have, suffer through grey/green parsers griefing the raid with their own ignorance and lack of care for the team, spend my gold on consumables while they sandbag their unbuffed corpses throughout the fights, then watch the one or two items I need finally drop, only to roll a 7 and watch them take it away with a 86 roll. Thatâs only if the tank and healer duo combo donât drop raid half way through because the tank only needed a boss in the middle, thus making the rest of the raid wait to fill, if possible to fill, gambling my lockout the entire time.
Or I can go into a raid where I know the players are vetted enough to be able to breath through their nose instead of their mouth, itâs clean, fast, and a full run with minimal gold loss to consumables and minimal time loss. I can guarantee the gear if it drops because I have a currency everyone wants, instead of relying on pure RNG, and I recoup the gold loss from my consumables, possibly even recouping the gold loss spent on the item, or, I just outright make a decent chunk of gold.
I wonder which raid system players like myself will gravitate towards. Maybe if pugs werenât so brain damaged, players like myself wouldnât loathe every second weâre in a non guild/non gdkp raid.

Your post completely ignore the fact that GDKP increases the demand for gold tenfold compared to any other form of gold dumping, the biding for BiS items will always keep increasing whereas the epic mount will always be the same price.
Statical prices also tend to be less and less important as more gold enters the economy, they basically have a net zero yeld on inflation in the long term.
Basically you have limited knowledge about basic economy.
Oh, and by the way having positive effects in the short term tends to accumulate in the long term in case of RMTs

Basically you are etiher forced to go into one or be suboptiomal/inexistent in the economy. considering the impossibility of 0 rmt, which no mmo has ever achieved.

Btw everybody is being extremely generous with the âno rmt at allâ because your suggestion of completely banning all possible rmt is as possible as swiming towards the sun in the vacumn, so try to have an argument in actual reality intead of the elephants of no mass equivalents.
rmt will never go away but itâs effect can be greatly diminished by a series of models, gdkp whoever literally incentivize the entire gameplay to be about rmting.
The only data I have is from Nora Valletta who said in the interview that there is no data to back up any positive changes regarding the GDKP ban. Unless more data is given, none of us have anything to go on. But please continue with your âfactsâ
We do have something to go on thoughâŚthey didnât bring GDKP back this phase. If Blizz felt it would help their bottom line theyâd shoot their grandma so not bringing it back is all you need to know.

Youâre playing a game where the economy literally has infinite growth. Gold literally appears out of thin air. Inflation will forever be an issue because gold is literally infinite.
But sure letâs discuss gdkps as if theyâre in a non infinitely growing economy.

GDKPs are a reward and reason to continue doing content after you get geared. People got bored faster with P2 than they did with P1 despite being the quickest phase.
Iâm fine with GDKPs coming back Iâd just like them to be officially supported by Blizzard. With an in game UI that divides each winning bid evenly across the entire raid. The only issue I have with GDKP are scammers that will steal your lockout, get you to carry them, and then bounce with all the gold at the end.
people who felt âgatekeptâ from GDKPs will find any excuse to hate them and deem them cheating
