Reported. Reported! Gah

Your point?

I don’t disagree with this but there’s nothing that can be done. What you seek is a cultural shift. Things like that take a long time and it may never be the way it used to be.

Means nothing in a private forum. Just like if you had been in my Grandmother’s house and swore - she’d show you the door so fast it would make your head spin. Think of this as Grandma’s house - her house, her rules.

I play the game to kill murlochs. He plays the game to kill alliance. She plays the game to kill mythic bosses. we all play for our own reasons and you do get to define them

This is exactly like saying if I catch you peeing on my lawn, I need to ignore you first, until the stink gets bad enough i get out the hose on you? We all pay the same subscription, and most of us don’t even feel the rules, cause it is NOT in our nature to be contrary.

No insult here, I am stating an opinion. Your model, Thanos, was created as a Comic book character, used for a fantasy adventure movie. The constraints of that fantasy world are exceedingly flexible. I did not hear Thanos utter ONE F-bomb.

“You didn’t lock your car, you deserved to have it stolen” THAT accountability?

Let’s say I am in a EBG and we are tied. We have several players waiting to hear what the consensus is for our next target so we can act. One guy is pissed because we didn’t go where he wanted, and he is letting everyone know it. Another guy is kicking and screaming that he needs the conquest, and we are the reason HE doesn’t have any. 3 of us are still waiting to find out where to go, and BG chat is roiling with (Hate speak?) “Banter” about how stupid Alliance (or Horde) is. We three split according to our own perception of need. 4 players have left the Battleground. 5 players are sitting in the base planting flowers. It is impossible to communicate because everyone is being drowned-out by others who are “just having fun”.

Since Freedom of Speech is more than slightly misunderstood, How’s about the term “Democracy”? When the majority deems something important, should the minority have the same weight? Should 5 have more value than 200? The only freedom we have outside the laws (rules) that govern us, is that to choose. Everything else is a privilege.

In my grandmas house, she would literally make your head spin for acting up in her house. :joy: RIP Granny

In my family that would have been Grandpa lol. He fought in WWI and lived through mustard gas - he took guff from no one.

My Grandpa would’ve drank a beer and laughed when you got smacked!

He had a mountain of Pabst blue ribbon cans piled up in the back yard. Some of them are still there to this day.

free speech is not unlimited. people can constrain what you say under some circumstances.

Or head for that bedroom window

Back in the day, when you mouthed off to a schoolyard bully, your free speech got you a punch in the nose. And then he stole your lunch money.

Would you go in a public place yelling MF in real life? No, you would not cause they would kick you out. Its the same in wow. Its a business they own and they have the right to not allow anything they want. As far as free speech goes yea you can say whatever you want. But, free speech does not protect you from consequences of what you say or do and that applies to real life.

Is that the area you really want to bring up? In the past, that would apply. Not anymore.

In certain regions, yeah, people do that. And get excused for it as “culture.” And then there are incidents where it’s even more indecent but it’s labeled as pride.

I get what you’re trying to say but that would happen because of societal norms.

Society is changing fast and what was once offensive to some isn’t so offensive anymore.

If we’re talking about what is “legally allowed”, that will vary by location.

I am curious where people are finding all these businesses that are totally cool with customers shouting expletives at other customers.

I disagree. A fringe vocal minority are TRYING to change it fast. But it is met with rejection.

These drastic changes in entertainment and business in effort to “change” society are 99% of the time resulting in less viewers/clicks and fewer customers.

It’s a bubble mentality.

I wouldn’t call it fringe, it’s probably closer to 40-50% imo and they aren’t trying to change anything. They ARE changing it. Is it all for the better? No I don’t think all of the change is good but some of it is for sure.

Everyone deserves to be treated equally no matter their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetic information.

But I DO disagree with some celebs being able to get up on stage wearing certain bedroom items and calling it pride among other things.

Either way, change is coming and there’s nothing you can do about it. May as well learn to go with the flow because I believe it’s hear to stay.

Back when I was in middle school, I had a guy who bullied me like that.

Until I stood up to him and punched him in the nose first.

He never bothered me again after that.

I’ll never forget the look on his face. A mixture of rage and utter confusion. Priceless.
