And you know, you are actually acknowledging there is a price, not crying about that it’s stupid and the system is against you.

I’m just having some fun. 
We really don’t have to agree on the matter. At least we were able to understand each other’s positions. And that’s okay by me.
I try my best in-game not to use foul language around strangers, as I do not want to get banned. I just wanted to show a little bit of empathy toward op, who’s struggling.

The isn’t a free speech or freedom of expression issue. They aren’t the govt. They are a for profit corporation that requires you to sign and acknowledge a simple, (easy to comply) contract related to terms of service for use of their platform and gaming services.

Actually no. Despite having grown up in the 60s and 70s, I was drug free and wasn’t with a woman until I was 21 - and I am not some Evangelical nutcase.
As far as drugs went, they terrified me. I knew even then that all I was ever going to have to sell was my mind and I didn’t want to mess it up.
As far as women went, they terrified me too, but for reasons having to do with a narcissistic, alcoholic for a mother who got her jollies putting cigarettes out of my feet.
Free speech applies to the government, not private companies. You agreed to a TOS, which is essentially the same as the new “contract”, wherein it states that the use of foul/abusive language is not taken kindly.
Maybe try…hmmm… not using such language, or blatant forms of it? I recommend Monty Python for alternative phrasing inspiration.

You just don’t understand how free speech works. You can go stand on your lawn and spew whatever unintelligible nonsense you like, but you are using someone else’s platform to voice your opinions, hatred, etc. You signed a contract, you are in their world. You play by their rules or you go some place else. That’s how it works. I always find that the people who use the free speech narrative are usually racists, homophobes, or just generally have nothing intelligent to add to society or a debate for that matter.
Your words hurt others, you were taught this at a very young age. Think before you speak. Do some critical thinking. Be a decent respectful human being that doesn’t need be told how to act and treat others. Or continue to act like a degenerate and get censored on social media, gaming networks, etc.

I know that losing the ability to be a rat mouth, blasphemer, master of obscenity and all around offender of human sensibilities is a pesky situation, but really, isn’t doing this sort of thing anonymously online like shooting fish in a barrel?
Go to a bar or nightclub, your neighborhood grocery store, local church, City Hall, a police station and try out your skill at rat-mouthery on living beings who can respond. And respond they will heh heh!
Now that will be an adventure.

IRL they blast horns or yell overtop of you to try and silence you.
This is how I view the general public when they disagree on something to try and prove their point.

Back on topic… I truly wish people would stop talking about freedom of speech. we all know that doesn’t apply.
I’d like to have an intelligent, rational discussion about the illegitimacy of a “curse word.” But I can’t get anyone to do that they get so bogged down in rules and everything else.
Yes, It is the rules… Does the rule make sense though? The societal rules on this subject makes sense?

They’re not new. The are reiterated so people who didn’t bother reading the TOS see them. And you know they still didn’t read them.

I agree people need to be less sensitive, but you did agree to the TOS, when you go to the Dr. do you sit and cuss? the Dentist? the grocery store? do you yell curse words at the screen at movies? or out at restaurants for dinner do you curse at the wait staff?.. you see it’s really simple to control yourself in public, isn’t it?

Just stay positive and keep it civil. It’s not hard. I used to be extremely toxic back on my younger days. Learned a lot of things from work. I even lost count on when is the last time I used a “four letter” word.

You are not allowed to swear in this game. You’ve never been able to. Period.
You can articulate anything, literally anything, without needing to swear. Try doing that and stop acting like an absolute child when you suffer consequences for your own actions. You have no one to blame but yourself.

i’m sorry but did you just claim that a for profit corporation doesn’t have the right to make and enforce their own rules as they see fit and that in your opinion there should be some kind of law hindering free enterprise?
