I mean they are very safe and robust plugs electrically… just don’t leave them on the floor.
Nice!
Now, what do you say to “I don’t like how you behave and I don’t approve of the way you talk and act toward everyone else”? Do I have the right to say that? Did I offend you? Am I obligated to listen to you even if I find you offensive?
Most people stay away from behavior they don’t like. Blizzard is a company for-profit, and they can do anything within acceptable norms to keep their customer base happy. If this means snuffing one player to save 20, where do you think they are going to go.
If you are unhappy with how the majority of this community feels about bad behavior, your problems need to be discussed with someone of a professional nature.
I think it’s pretty apt, to be honest.
You made it clear that you’re from some part of the world with different societal standards, which is fine. I understand it can take some getting used to, but this game is made (and primarily played) by Americans and by and large we aren’t really okay with what you call “gamer slang” (but is actually just profanity) being said in public.
I guess you can lobby to change society, but I think you’re on an uphill battle there compadre.
If you wanna get technical, discussing account actions is actually against the TOS.
all the the social contract did was just made more ban happy people.
Its not that the company having rules, its the rules they have and you know the difference. Its all one sided with an agenda to think otherwise is being dishonest
Can’t say I do, honestly. Wanna spell it out? Curious to see if you’re going where I think you are.
One sided with an agenda? They tell you what the rules are when you create an account, and you have to agree to them in order to play.
I believe…
No shirt no service.” was truly the decline of civilization as we know (knew?) it.
And now some are sayin no baggy pants no service yet the one side of the debates is crying foul over that rule. Follow all the rules right?? Unless they go against my opinions or an agenda
yet the one side of the debates
Ah yes, there’s the “sides”.
$20 says your reply to me contains the word “woke”.
Youre trying to bait me then like your side loves to do you report to silence the truth. SO yeah imma silence you first by ignore listing you… I win.
Ah good, I was right, your opinion is objectively trash and you know it. Good to have confirmation!
My parents taught me at an early age that profanity was rude, crude and ill-mannered. Nope, didn’t use it. I was a soldier (13 yrs), a preacher (almost 7 yers) and a teacher (20 yrs). Nope, not even in the military did I curse when all around me my fellow soldiers vented their frustrations and anger by uttering obscenities.
As one poster mentioned, maybe you should grow up and be the man you should be.
America is done for if we were to be invaded because the majority of citizens are turning into weak minded fragile safe space snowflakes.
The days of thick skinned people are over taken over by whatever you call this bunch.
These people would probably bring nice words to a gun fight.
I have mentioned this in other threads…should you behave in person like you want to on the interweb, you more than likely would go home with a bloody nose.
I mean your 1st 2 points make sense.
But then you ruin it with snubbing your nose and thinking you’re more mature.
Part of being mature is to look at things with an objective lens rather than subjective. Without context a curse word in itself is harmless and meaningless.
You are not more mature by saying gosh darn it. I’m sorry but you’re not
You think our enemies care about nice words?
If this means snuffing one player to save 20, where do you think they are going to go.
The concept of being saved by an external entity from “bad” words on the Internet is frankly pathetic. Just mute and move on with your life.
It’s usually fairly obvious which bucket a person falls into.
Is it really, though? Some person could be kind 99% of the time, and one day, that person logs in after a long day of work. Despite being tired, they decided to play a battleground and get repeatedly one-shotted by hunters pressing rapid-fire. That person ends up writing in chat that hunters are “insert whatever you want here.” Should that person be banned for that?
I would judge this person as mostly okay. But, if they’re unlucky, people will report it, and they may get a ban for it.
If you wanna get technical, discussing account actions is actually against the TOS.
True. But should it be?
Never underestimate diplomacy, which is the polite art of telling people off. Most wars happen because people didn’t use nice words and speak very clearly.
