When did you earn them? I earned them during the expansion it was sort of easier to them when they were relevant stuff as you could group with people for some stuff.
I don’t mind this change because they are basically just leveling zones that you whiz through and I see the problems new players who didn’t play back them would have doing them for flying while leveling. Not to mention the time gating mechanics.
They also aren’t handing out the associated mounts and other rewards so it gives them an incentive to do it if they still want those.
so it was ‘hard work’ then and thats why your upset?
No? you got it by ‘just playing the game’ then?
so whats your problem if you got something by ‘just playing the game’ and someone else gets it now too?
Sounds kinda petty & petulant to me, honestly
Correct. “Because I had to do it” is no reason to slap new or returning players in the groin for no reason. Be better than yesterday. Particularly since I was able to take advantage of flying in Legion when it was still relevant content.
Illustration of that is the fact that when level scaling was implemented and people found out you could fly in Pandaria without restriction, not a single person said they should implement a meta achieve to earn flight. Even people who were kind of on the fence about pathfinder thought this was a fantastic change.
No mention for BFA pathfinder removed , all good , no reason to hate this change , they arent getting the mounts tied to it either. And its way older content now , which is barely visited , especially by those that do not have pathfinder! So why not …
Wish they would do a little something for those that did achieve them before thought…
As someone who got all pathfinders while they were current content. I absolutely hated having to do it. I did not feel accomplished at the end of it… I felt relieved… there would be no reason other than spite to wish that nonsense on anyone else…
Do I wish blizzard didn’t force me to grind reps that used to only provide aesthetic bonuses that I could choose to weigh the time commitment vs reward for? Absolutely. I hate the pathfinder system and wish they would remove it altogether… or make gaining rep something you can do through ALL content with tabards similar to wotlk. (I hate dailies/world quests)
I mean this whole argument in a nutshell could literally be shot right back around if I said that I worked my butt off back in burning crusade to be able to afford flying. Back when gold didn’t grow on little circles all over your map. So does that mean I should be mad that base flying is just handed out now? And how bout I take it a step further and say that because of that hard work to unlock flying. why should I have to repeatedly perform more “hard work” to unlock flying every single time a new expansion comes out.
Or we could take the logical route. When you hit lvl 40 in classic wow you went to a stablemaster or something of the like. and they “taught you how to ride.” Upon learning how to ride you now have that skill and are able to do it anywhere. What you are paying for is the understanding and knowledge of riding a mount. At lvl 60 you would gain the knowledge of riding that mount faster. At lvl 70 flying, lvl 80 flying faster etc etc. Point is. You are paying for the knowledge of learning how to ride, or how to ride faster… Why do you all of a sudden just unlearn that knowledge the moment a new expansion comes out?
I agree. One person replied and said that your reward was having flying “years before the rest of us” but I just recently (past month) finally ground out this achievement. Just another reason that I won’t feel bad walking away from it all again. It wouldn’t have been difficult for them to send an in-game note for those who had significant progress on the achievement, “Hey, you might wanna put this work on PAUSE since we’re about to give it out for free…” My two cents.
Oh wow so much effort, doing daillies for 20-30 min a day for 1 or maybe 2 months and voila, flying for everyone in yor account.
Oh the pain.
Serious talk now, I don’t really care, it wasn’t difficult to get, just kinda meh and I think the removal is healthy for the game and specially for the new players.
