For those of us that put a lot of time and effort into getting Pathfinder for WoD and Legion. These requirements took MONTHS to achieve and now it’s given out free like some sort of world quest reward??!!!
It felt rewarding when I completed Pathfinder because I knew it was an account-wide perk that would always be useful and prestigious, but now the sudden change in system feels like a sucker punch.
I suggest keeping the old Pathfinder in place so it still is meaningful for the ones that earned it. You can allow players that want to obtain Pathfinder to achieve it by doing new content. For example, players can buy a Tabard that will give them huge bonus reputation when doing dungeons, battlegrounds, raids, etc.
This will preserve the satisfaction of achieving Pathfinder, while still making players earn it by doing relevant content.
If you have WoD and Legion Pathfinder, how do you feel about it being handed out for free in Shadowlands?

Your reward was having flying years before us who didn’t do it, that should be reward enough for you guys.
There honestly is nothing wrong with a pathfinder system for current content but forcing players to go through the “MONTHS” of old content is just bad policy which Blizz is fixing imo.

Oh, it’s removed? Good. As someone who obtained both it’s about time. Content isn’t relevant in those zones so there is no reason players shouldn’t be able to fly, especially with the leveling rework.

I unlocked the content while it was current… i have no problems with giving it out without PF …the way SL is set up it makes actually a ton of sense to do it that way.

Doesn’t bother me at all. I have had them for a long time and have used the QOL feature for years. Someone getting it when SL is released takes nothing away from me at all. Good for them. Yea👍

I have all three Pathfinders.
Pathfinder exists to increase time played metrics. There’s absolutely NOTHING rewarding about PF, that’s why they’re getting rid of it THANK GOD.

I have just got Legion PF a couple of weeks ago (just before rep bonus 
- check my achievements).
I don’t mind this at all because it wouldn’t have made sense to make players slog through a grind for an older expansion when the endgame is Shadowlands.
Not sure how it took you months, I work full time and got it in 6 days.

Imagine taking an achievement won over time on a game be that important. No. Bringing people back and new players to the game is far more beneficial than pleasing your sense of self importance. Come on man, it’s not a good argument. You would of done pathfinder regardless just by playing regularly. Pathfinder is not a challenge of skill, perhaps an exercise patience. Better to give it and avoid burning people out for no reason, especially for old content.

I have all the patherfinder achievements and I’m glad players won’t have to deal with that anymore. There was no prestige or sense of accomplishment involved, it was just another obstacle to the fun parts of the game.

I mean you asked, and you want to challenge my opinion? My troll detector is going bonkers right now but I’ll humor you.
I want people to play the game, the game world at this time is pretty full, my auctions are selling, queues are shorter, chat is more active.
I don’t want to ask my buds to come back for PvP in Shadowlands cus vendors are returning and then have to hear their dismay as they have mountains of grinding to do just to fly in dated content.
I’ve done many many grinds in this game, feeling bitter about that is counter productive in this genre of game don’t you think?

Doesn’t bother me. Older content becomes obsolete and used mainly for farming. Had it during the peak of when it was useful.

Just the old ones. You know that SL will have a Shadowlands Pathfinder Part 1 (Do The Content, spud!) and Part 2 (we need you to go do more content, spud!")
Of course, they’ve got to artificially extend content these days. That’s okay though, I’ll sub when PF part 2 comes out, I’m drained from Pathfinder - I can’t do it anymore.
