Removing the timer on Mythic +

m+ is prog for alot of players. in my casual guild they are just now getting into 10s and in my mythic gruild there are several groups pushing high keys. thats prog.

grinding for the sake of grinding sucks. farming content with the explicit idea of getting crests does suck. that is a problem that needs to be solved.

Delete gear.

Not where rewards drop.
And if people need power to overcome 10s, the grind should not be reduced.

there needs to be a balance. people enjoy getting gear. they dont enjoy grinding out a single dungeon 40 times for said piece of gear.

its the single best place to get heroic gear. right now its delves for champion gear, m+ for heroic gear and mythic raid for mythic gear.

why?

Gear prevents access to content.

People doing prog, are beyond needing gear.

Because the purpose should be to get people out of content they see as trivial. Not bless them with loot, so they donā€™t have to improve.

Some of us told the devs that when they released the patch notes about gearing changes in beta. Some of us were kind of forceful about it.

Others screamed us down. Iā€™m pretty sure Faux was one of them.

You need only look at the developer notes of December 12th 2024 to see who was right in the end.

no it doesnt you can enter the content anytime you feel ready to do so.

still not true people prog at different levels. my casual guild mates are progging 10s but for me thats childs play. while my keys are seen as low keys by someone like yoda. prog is just pushing content that you havnt previously acomplished.

Blizzard always makes stuff easier to get. Itā€™s not a convincing argument.

Thatā€™s usually a byproduct of pugs though, stop pugging and that happens a lot less.

how does pugging have anything to do with this?

Organized groups are more likely to trade loot.

sometimes people just have bad luck. i have a guildmate that still doesnā€™t have sacbrood on his main. idk what his count was at but pretty much anytime a guild group is running an ara kara hes in it.

Exactly, and sought after gear that you would actually do the same dungeon over and over are usually trinkets that can easily be trade over with spec loot.

Iā€™ve seen hero track sacbrood 3 times and it always went to someone else in the group. If I didnā€™t pug so much (or my friends play with so many altsā€¦), I would probably have it already.

or if there was a bad luck protection you wouldnt have to grind in the first place.

Bad luck protection would just mean you get something from the loot table, not that you get something specific.

it can mean that you get a token that you turn in for a specific piece of gear.

Thatā€™s never gonna happen. Thereā€™s already a deterministic gear system with crafting. They wonā€™t double down on it.

I donā€™t want to spend an hour with you in your +8 dawnbreaker.

they literally have done it twice now in fated seasonsā€¦

Which had lockout and rotating raids that made it impossible to even attempt 2 weeks out of 3. Try again. Youā€™re comparing apples with sausage.

And I knew you were gonna go there. You guys always do.
