Remove World Buffs From Raids

Memories are faulty, we have video proof showing the contrary. I’ll happily eat my words if you can link me a video of somebody in vanilla raiding with the buffs I mentioned here

Again you’re trying to imply that it’s the same when it’s really not. And the extent they’re being abused is so much higher in classic rather than being the exception for a difficult progression fight they’re now the norm.

Please, disable world buffs for AQ and onward. It makes easy content laughably easy and failure 10x as punishing as it should be. Not only getting them every raid is not but fun, but worse than that is that they make raiding stressful. The feeling of dying or even wiping during raids should not be as crushing as it is because of the world buffs. I’m seeing many many players getting burnt out and will probably quit soon. Please consider this, blizzard.

This is a very controversial topic, clearly based on the tilted and snide replies you’re getting from these hyper-nerds.

Some people enjoy minmaxing with modern takes on a 15 year old game, and some people would rather just play the game. You aren’t going to change the opinions of the minmaxers, nor will they change your opinion.

I think I understand where you’re coming from. This is an unnatural meta. This isn’t how the game was played. You want to get back to the way things were. But I know the truth: there’s no going back. We’ve changed things. Forever.

Grats on having salvation I guess? If you’re in my raid, you’re not doing a single point more than me without face planting. I’m eating a LiP at the end of boss kills to get what I get. Not only that, your raid is running 20 melee, which greatly speeds up kill times as cooldowns become 100% uptime. Yawn. There is literally nothing special about you.

Why is there always a group of people trying to dictate fun? If you don’t like the buffs then do not get them. If your guild gets them then get a new guild.

Stop trying to force your puritan views of how classic should be played. I think chain fear is toxic. I think rogue play is toxic, I think pre bis farming and boring attunements are toxic.

Yet you don’t see me trying to remove these things from the game. There are far worse things than world buffs to whine about.

Maybe because it changed the entire classic experience? Which was the whole point? Never seen a non-tank care about FR in classic. Was that the case at launch? Not how I remember it.

I mean the people who don’t want these buffs removed have no interest in parsing. That’s fine but the people who do have to collect every buff out there someone like Marty is to compete. It becomes stressful and toxic to get them and then even more stressful and toxic to keep them in raid. Makes doing trash unfun because you don’t wanna pull threat and die to something stupid.

What dude…logging in grabbing buffs and logging out for multiple days on end unable to play your character is toxic behavior for the game.

I find it funny how people who claim to want to min-max/be competitive are arguing that they can’t do that anymore when something that applies universally might be taken away. Like literally you are competing with people under the same limitations I fail to see how this limits the ability to min-max.

all it does is make it so everyone has to do less tedious work to compete and it’s a more fair competition that is less reliant on RNG and more on individual skill.

But what do I know, spending 30-45 minutes doing repetitive, skillless, activities to increase the numbers is not something I see as a sign of skill, seems like the opposite to be honest.

You cannot use the example of “if you don’t like them, don’t use them.”

That’s like saying “you don’t have to train max rank spells if you don’t want” Technically I don’t want to spend gold on them, but I do if I want to do more damage.
