Right now… at this level of sadness i just want some borrowed powers to make DP feel great and make it an alternative to not use voidform on most content.
heres the thing. voidform may deliver for you…but it doesnt for the vast majority of players. theres no denying that. a broken clock is correct twice a day.
Remove voidform
#removevoidform
#REMOVE voidform
keep it going
#removevoidform
#remove voidform crap
there is still time for changes, stay strong guys #removevoidform
Voidform is the devil
Remove it.
yes please…#removevoidform
#removevoidform
#removevoidform
Remove voidform!
#removevoidform…
#removevoidform :g
#removevoidform…please and thank you
Hi I would like to add my thoughts to this thread. Understand that I am just picking priest back up but I used to main as one through wrath of the Lich king.
First and foremost the class play and how fun it is, is the most important topic of discussion although I find the theme of voidform less appealing as shadow orbs was. While within voidform I find the gameplay to be more fun than when not because I have more directive than simply generate insanity to enter the next phase. The mechanic while I am in it isn’t all so bad funwise.
But while I am generating it, it’s rather lackluster play. Also I notice that in single player content that I am often not making use of my full rotation but only half of it at a time. It’s not as fun as most energy spending specs that I’ve tried since I cannot utilize my most powerful spells until I fully reach the voidform phase.
That is one issue I have with voidform. But also into the theme of it…
Not all races need play off of the insane old god worshipper scenario but voidform makes it hard to see your character as much more than simply that. Shadow is a mysterious energy in WoW and with shadow orbs I was able to see my character using this mysterious power in more ways. Troll loa, forsaken shadow priests, and the night elves priest of Elune could all be approaching this spec in a culturally different way. It’s just so hard to see past the old gods with tentacles coming out of my back…
It looks cool yeah but it’s not always what I want.
I wish there was a way we could choose our way of playing with and without voidform maybe as a talent so we could expand on shadow priests story telling as our own characters instead of a hard “this is how it is” approach. Our rotation could be made to be a little faster or maybe used in a different way and that would help but I’d rather have more choice simply aesthetically spell animation wise to express my shadow priest.
I fell in love with the priest back in BC and I think Voidform ruined the class. Why do they only have 1 DOT class caster? Why can’t priests be a viable alternative to aff locks??
I really think its a piss poor argument that everything seems to use (everyone that either doesn’t care or is ignorant about gameplay mechanics) when they compare Shadow Priest and say “it has a unique playstyle” and think that’s all that matters and when you explain why it doesn’t work and how much better the spec flowed prior to Void Form, you get hit with “That’s just combo points, that’s just holy power, that just discount warlock etc.”. Those arguments are just so tiring and clearly show that they never played both versions of the spec and are just flat out ignorant.
I hate how Shadow is compared to every class instead of just itself and its past iterations. It was never like a warlock. They both had access to “shadow” spells but that was as far as that went lol. Completely different gameplay was involved and management of pets vs utility & heals etc.
Just a little rant of mine lol.
